Covid canceled the Houston, Texas Major this year which was scheduled for April and instead they are having the Texas Conference event in Dallas at the Mansfield Big League Dreams this weekend.  There are 37 teams including 8 Conference teams and they are from 8 different states.  The winner will earn 165 + (8 x 3) = 189 points.  The BLD fields are those major league replica fields with different dimensions and they will use 8 fields starting Saturday morning.

This weekend at the Lonestar Shootout Major NIT in Mansfield, TX will have 37 teams and 8 Nationwide Conference USSSA teams in attendance including 0 major, 0 AA, 7 A, 1 B and 29 local teams.  BaughFord/HDLNS/Hubs Pub is the #1 overall seed and the favorite.  The other teams looking to upset the #1 seed and favorite are: Classic Glass/Easton, Vivid/FBI/PTG/Worth, and L & S Glass.

Texas Predictions:  In the Elite 8 look for L&S Glass to upset the #1 seed Vivid, local Texas B team Legion of Boom to upset Cheap Suits, Classic Glass to sneak by Express and Baugh Ford to overpower Greenspace.  I predict the final 4 undefeated to be: Classic Glass versus Baugh Ford and L&S Glass versus Legion of Boom.  Baugh Ford and L&S Glass should make it to the undefeated game.  In the loser's bracket, I predict Vivid to make it back to the 3rd place game after losing to L&S Glass in the Elite 8.
