S&E takes on MPT in the loser's bracket Friday

Day 3 Loser Bracket Condensed Games:

GM #21 Seminoles vs MAJ – CONDENSED GAME link

The loser's bracket played out during the day on Friday.  MyAutoJack the top 'A' team in the regular season knocked off Chick-fil-a 18-4 and Seminoles 12-10.  MPT Rentals beat Xtreme 36-27 and S&E 21-16.  Precision beat Classic Glass 10-3 before Competitive Edge sent them home 16-11.  And Sports Reach beat Slugger/SVC 6-5 before Dan Smith dropped down and beat them 24-7.  So MyAutoJack, MPT, Competitive Edge, and Dan Smith advanced to the "Final 8" on Saturday.

Winner's Bracket Finals Condensed Game #31 Link

At 9 PM Friday night it was the winner's bracket finals in front of a decent crowd of about 1,500 people.  Smash It Sports as the Conference Champions was the #1 seed and thus the automatic home team for the big game.  Resmondo scratched across one run in the top of the 1st on a Bubba Mack RBI double and then a very focused SmashItSports team got a leadoff triple from Andrew Collins, an RBI single from Tyler Marshburn, a LOOONG home run from Everett Williams, a solo homer from Buddy Wolf, and then they made Resmondo pay for some errors to the tune of 10 runs!  Resmondo answered some in the top of the 2nd with homers by Yates and Riley but Smash It Sports added 11 more runs in the bottom of the 3rd on a 3 run homer by Collins, Williams and Wolf homered, and then a number of doubles led to a 21-7 lead.  Resmondo climbed back into it with homers by Connell, Yates, and Wegman in the top of the 4th but Smash It won 30-18 out hitting Resmondo 32-18 and out homering them 7-6.  Smash It pitcher Andy Purcell, who was Conference Defensive Player of the Year, at one point in the 6th inning knocked down a hot shot up the middle and dove and pitched the ball sideways falling on his face to get a big out at 2nd base.  Collins, Marshburn, Martel, Dunn, and Mcclanahan were all a perfect 4-4 or 5-5 in the game and Smash It collected 18 extra base!
