Who are you playing with in 2019, and who have you played with in the past?
2019 CMD D Team out of So Cal. 2018 I played for CMD as well.

What positions do you play and what is your best position?
Utility. Best position would have to be 2nd base.

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Their is so much talent. Too many to name. But a few would have to be the Granados brothers, Charlie Hinojosa, Johnny Bailey, and Luis Reyna when he was with Reebok.

Why do you like the game of softball?
I love the game of softball because of the talent and personalities that you come across. Friends turn into family. Plus, it’s always a great time to spend the weekends playing with your buddies, sharing softball stories, and having a few drinks.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Their is too many to name lol. But I would say Jared Hunt, Ryan Mclanahan, and the big homie who pitches for Dan Smith Mike Nino.

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
I do not have a nickname in softball anymore lol.

What is your height and weight?
I am 5’4 180lbs. I am short/small but definitely can hit and field with the best of them.

Where do you call home?
Lakewood, California is what I call home.

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
My favorite way to spend the off weekends is with my amazing girlfriend and her family. 

What do you do for a living?
I work for Young & Reckless. The clothing brand by Chris “Drama” Pfaff

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
I played baseball in high school.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I got my start from Mario Perez of ELITE when I was 17/18. It was with I believe TAI ELITE. That was almost 10 years ago.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
I haven’t made the jump yet. But hope to make the jump soon. I will pay the dues of just being on a roster. Pinch running or hitting.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
I would like to compare my game to my boy RayRay. We grew up together and I have watched him play the best 2nd base I have ever seen.

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Me getting the final out to make it to the championship game in the 2014 D ASA Worlds.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Their hasn’t been one single person. I would just say that anyone who has never given up on me will always be the ones who make me better and keep my dream alive.

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
I use regular baseball hands. I usually swing a 26oz or 27oz bat.

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
I work on my situational hitting and just using league night to do that. I also work on just slowing my hands down to make the routine plays. No matter where I’am playing.

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
I love all sports. However, I’am a Yankee fan, Celtics fan, and New England Patriots fan. I know I know I’am going to get some heat for this answer lol.

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Favorite non world tournament would have to be Toys4Tots.

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
I would have to say Twin Creeks Complex. I just love the atmosphere there and the turf lol.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
For me it’s simple. Jack in a box.

Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
Most would not know this but I do put a lot of hard work into my game. But I also make time for my family.  Most think I play too much. But I do not lol.

What was your favorite sports related gift you have ever given or received?
Best sports related gift I have given was too my father. Got him a “Slap Shot” character from the movie “Slap Shot” lol

    Like the above poster typed, at least the guy has to stones to put his name out there and try to get a chance to play the Big West Major so he can possibly get some looks. Seems like a good kid who wants to get a shot. Not like he’s asking for SIS to pick him up.

    Joey is a great dude, loves the game and works hard at it. if you know him or follow him he is always working on his game.

    Looking at the team list, there’s really no one to get picked up by Conference-wise…..
