Outfield and Pitch. Best position is Outfield
Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Kyle Pearson, or Filip Washington.
Why do you like the game of softball?
I love the competitiveness of the game. And the feel of beating a good team is great. I love the family and friends you make in this game also. I’ve met some people who have become like family to me because of this game.
Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Riley Norris or Kyle Harmon. Two great ball players who give their all and who are there to compete and become the best!
What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Ash, just easier to say then my first name
What is your height and weight?
5’9, and 170
Where do you call home?
Kansas City, MO
What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Usually just spending time with family, going to the lake, or possibly working if I have too.
What do you do for a living?
I am an apprentice lineman for Par Electric is Kansas City
Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
I played soccer, basketball, baseball, and ran track in high school. Played soccer in college.
How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I got my start in softball with some guys from kc who were looking to add a player and I just happen to post on Facebook that I wanted too play. Played with them for one year and had a good tourney and got asked by another team to move up with them. And then last year was my first year in upper ball in Kansas City. I want to continue to move up as I can.
In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Kyle Harmon, he’s my BP partner and he pushes me to continue to get better every time we hit or play together.
What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
2 finger overlap, with pinky over the knob and 25.5-26.5oz bats
What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Usually just workout to stay fit and take BP 2-3 times a week.
What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Kansas City chiefs, Duke Blue Devils.
