What positions do you play and what is your best position?
I play outfield and infield. My best position is CF.  Also have been pitching

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
There are a lot of great softball players but I'm going to recognize a couple who helped me take my game to the next level and that is; Dameon Smith, Ryan Ramirez, Filip Washington and Brandon Traylor.

Why do you like the game of softball?
I like the game of softball because it is a very competitive sport. I like to compete and it's as close to baseball as I can get. Plus it beats sitting at home on the weekends.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Again, there are a few good players coming up. Ben Falcone, Mateo Pacheco, Issac Gonzalez, Ryan Ramirez, Josh Tallent, Johnny Perchak. I mean the list can go on and on, the game is getting stronger every year.

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
My nickname my whole life has been "Bubba" so I didn't really need to develop a nickname in softball.

What is your height and weight?
5'10" 220lbs

Where do you call home?
Vacaville, CA

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
My ideal weekend off would be, A little BP in morning, then home to see my son Caison, BBQ and watch MLBTV.

What do you do for a living?
I am the foreman for Timberwood Tree Service located in San Francisco, California.

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
I played basketball and baseball in high school. Ran with baseball all the way to my senior year of college at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I started with California Grown. Then in 2016 a few of us were offered a chance to play with the team Bay Area Legends. We were suppose to just play the West Coast schedule and be a C team and attend C worlds. Well, that plan was shot down as we did really well and jumped all the way to A.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
Speed and consistency.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
I don't know if there is a certain player? I know a lot of really good softball players and they all offer amazing skills sets to enhance my game. I just try and learn and get better everyday.

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
I think beating Smash It Sports in an extra inning game in Florida this year was probably the biggest highlight I've had in my softball career.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Rob Ramirez. Coach, father, friend, and all of the above. He instilled a work ethic in me that made failing and working hard fun. You have to fail before you can succeed, hardwork and speed never go into a slump, and "Always out work them." Mottos to love and live by on and off the field.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Always continue to work hard and get better because these guys up here are the real deal. And, remember it is just a game, it's suppose to be fun. Love this game.

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
I overlap 2 fingers and I swing a 27oz balanced bat.

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Continue to take BP, play in some available fun tourneys, and spend lots of time with my family.

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
San Francisco Giants!

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
Nope

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Hip hop. Jay-Z "Moment of Clarity"

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
Try and get some events in Northern California again.

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
The Florida Dual was a lot of fun. Great facilities and comparing against the best of the best out there.

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Osceola County Stadium.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
That all depends what state your in. I can always go for Mexican food though.

Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
I enjoy going to the movies by myself.

What was your favorite sports related gift you have ever given or received?
The best gift I ever received was from Rob Ramirez. He has been like a father to me. In high school he got me the red Easton Stealth flex handle besr 33/30 baseball bat. Still have it to this day.
