What positions do you play and what is your best position?
2nd, MI, 1st, RF and LF. I’d say 2nd is my best position

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Watching from afar, although there is so many, I’d Greg Connell. What he has done offensively over the past few years that I’ve been following him, is remarkable.

Why do you like the game of softball?
Competition. I’ve played just about every sport growing up, and the competition has always driven me to try and be the best on the field/court.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
I think he’s already there, but Kyle Pearson.

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Pretty simple, but friends have always called me Timmy.

What is your height and weight?
6’3”/225 lbs.

Where do you call home?
St. Louis, MO
Willing to drive to tournaments except to Florida

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
At The Lake of the Ozarks on a boat tubing and surfing with my son.

What do you do for a living?
Regional Sales Director for a food service company.

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
In high school I played Soccer/Basketball/Baseball and Volleyball. In College I played soccer and was a Goal Keeper.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I started playing softball when I was 15, in a church league that my grandpa had been playing in for 30 years. My dad was playing on the same team as well, which was pretty cool. My dad is dreaming of the day when my 12 year old son is old enough to start playing softball, so all 3 of us can be on the same field like I was when I first started.

The first team outside of the church league I played on was when I was 17, and continued to play in the summers when I would be home from college. Once college ended, me and some buddies that grew up together created a team, and kept building each year.

I haven’t had the chance to play higher than C in Utrip, looking for that opportunity now.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
Not that I’m near his level, but I love watching Bryson Baker. He can hit for power or base hit whenever he needs, as well as playing multiple positions in the field.

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Woodson Terrace Days has always been a huge local tournament in St. Louis. As with most of the other big tournaments around the country, the number of teams has dwindled. The team I played on in the last year of the tournament being held won it. It was special because I had played 5-6 times in that tournament, and it always brought out the best teams, since it was an Open tournament on open fields.

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
Baseball grip and 27 oz EL.

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Weightlifting and tons of hills/sprints.

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Favorite team is the St. Louis Cardinals. My favorite sport outside of Softball is Soccer. It was my main sport growing up, and what paid my way through college. I still play Indoor soccer a couple times a week with a bunch of my buddies I went to high school with.

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
Not superstitious, but just staying positive.

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Nelly – Country Grammar

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
As mentioned above, it’s Woodson Terrace Days, which unfortunately isn’t around anymore. It was a small community located just outside of St. Louis, and they would have a weekend long festival going at the same time as the softball tournament. There were tons of people there, boozing and watching Softball for the entire weekend.

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
BMAC in St. Louis, all of the grass is Bermuda like a putting green. Also, Spartan Sports Park in Springfield, IL, with all turf fields.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Anywhere with all of my teammates.

What was your favorite sports related gift you have ever given or received?
Growing up, my grandpa came to every game I had. At my soccer games, before becoming a Goalie when I was older, I was a forward. Every time I would have a hat trick in a game, my Grandpa would take the hat off of his head and give it to me to keep after the game. It was always a Notre Dame hat.
