well if the players at the park wouldnt have ran their mouths talking trash the whole time Resmondo was playing, it was pretty bad the btx game, maybe they would have come back.
The key is having multiple major teams. 1 major team really doesn’t make for a good tournament when the rest of the teams are ‘B’ and ‘C’ and below.
They moved it to two weeks before the Hall of Fame so that should have helped.
Tough to say why teams don’t want to come. Its sortof a chicken and egg situation now in that you have to have a lot of conference teams to peak the interest of the major teams as far as the number of points they could earn. Look at Maryland. They had zero major teams and only 4 conference teams in 2013 but will have 28 or more conference teams this year and all of the Majors and most of the ‘A’ teams.
Maybe make Houston a dual like they did in Maryland. First tournament is for conference teams only. Second for all teams.
Not sure what the solution is. The duals are starting to get out of hand with the number of teams. Thats a lot of games and wear and tear on players.
