SoftballCenter field reporter Ron Burgandy’s editorial on the “Day the Music Died”

This past weekend in USSSA softball there was a massive screw up, The Music City Classic was canceled due to Tropical Storm NO RAIN. This bothers me more than my G.F Monica Corningstone reporting the news! But all cannot be lost on not playing this massive tournament where several teams were looking to earn large points. One can only speculate whether or not the lower B and C teams paid off officials in order to keep playing in the smaller usssa events to gain points on the bigger teams????? I had my best plaid suite picked out to do one on one interviews with JR & ANDY from Resmondo for my report this morning but this didn't pan out the way I wanted so I hit the town. My first stop brought me outside of Nashville at the SLEEP INN hotel, several big name players were invited in the first annual WIFFLE BALL GAME. As I watched from the payphone CRYING in a glass box of emotions over the cancelation of the tournament I witnessed several disturbing things, odd rotations funny pitching motions and an odd PLAYER in a USA red/white & blue MAN THONG. I proceeded to hit the night life and was not let down; I witnessed a few KEY players really put on a show by riding the allusive bull at the country bar. The first was a power hitter who has been around the game a long time which shocked the LADIES when he ripped his shirt off and gave the best 6 sec show I have ever seen. I overheard several players talk bull riding champion ……… who I can not disclose at this time but he turned the bar inside out as he stole the show with his hips and bronzed body as he pointed to the crowd and displayed why he is on the major player watch list! It was a great night and saw several players show that off the field we all have one another’s back. Even saw RESMONDO PLAYERS hanging out with the guys from DIRTY D…..Could this mean there rivalry is over???? ONLY TIME WILL TELL!! Nashville was fun and I had a great time myself at the flute bar in downtown I personally put my own show on, but as far as softball it was disappointing and really could shake up teams switching set schedules to earn points.
