SmashItSports a Major team based out of North Carolina held on defensively in the "if" necessary game of the championship against S&E Enterprises/Worsham an 'A' team that made a huge run through the loser's bracket in the Las Vegas Major to open the 2021 Nationwide Conference USSSA season!  The 48 team Major which started early on Friday, March 26th didn't have many upsets until late Saturday night when both Resmondo was upset by Seminoles who scored 60 runs on them and MPT was upset by S&E Enterprises.  The upsets continued with S&E Enterprises knocking off Seminoles early Sunday morning and then the 'AA' team SNI in the loser's final to get to the championship where they run ruled Smash It to force the if game.  In the if game both teams held small leads but S&E came up short and SmashIt won the 1st event of the year.  Everett Williams was the MVP, Ben Dunn the Defensive MVP, and Justin Gregory will probably be the Offensive MVP when that selection is made tomorrow.  On the women's side SmashIt Derby Girls rolled through undefeated to capture the 17 team Major beating NTL in the championship, at one point they hit 4 consecutive home runs in a game (I heard second hand).

A full report, video clips, condensed games, rankings, and stats coming this week on Softballcenter.com!  I am taking the red eye Sunday night so articles could be delayed this week.
