SIS/Thunder/Miken/Worth goes undefeated to win 2017 Nationwide Conference Championship!

SIS/Thunder/Miken/Worth/Louisville won all 4 of their games in the winner's bracket of the 2017 Nationwide Conference USSSA Championships defeating 4 Major teams in a row (Newbreed, Resmondo, Dan Smith, and SIS/Scene) to win the tournament.  This was the first ever slowpitch event held at the new USSSA home at Space Coast Stadium in Viera, Florida!  SIS/Thunder knocked off Dan Smith in the winner's bracket finals 21-15 on Saturday afternoon and Smash It/Scene/TDB/Miken/Worth 15-11 in the finals.  The championship game was close until a pinch hit 3 run homer by Kevin Filby and an inside the park homer by Jeremy Yates iced it away for SIS/Thunder at the end of the game.

The new USSSA home facility in Viera, Florida was spectacular.

The 325-365-385-365-325 fields played surprisingly long with very low scores for the most part.

DW, I assume the USSSA did not keep stats for the Conference Championships. In the past, some years, yes, some years, no and some years, partial. Just asking, Thank You
