Who are you playing with in 2021, and who have you played with in the past?
2021 Free Agent – SarahLBelote@gmail.com

2020 – UHY Softball 2019 – Lady Bachelors

What positions do you play and what is your best position?
3B/1B/C

I have played the majority of my slowpitch career at 3, but am comfortable at either corner or catching.

Why do you like the game of softball?
Softball has been a lifelong love. But in 2020 especially, it seems to be the only thing that has a true reciprocation of your efforts. The harder you work, the more you will get out of it.

Where do you call home?
I live in the Greater Detroit area, but am looking forward to any opportunity to travel.

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
What's an off weekend? lol

What do you do for a living?
I'm a statewide director leading fundraising efforts for cancer research and patient support at a leading national nonprofit.

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
I played at Trine University in Indiana, a national contender private school program. I completed my senior season with 3 NCAA all-division records for most homeruns in a game, RBI's and total bases. I was 6th in the nation for total homeruns on a season, and All-American honorable mention. Last year, I was inducted into the Trine University Athletic Hall of Fame.

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
This summer I played in my first conference dual tournaments. At the Columbus B.A.T.S Major, I finished the weekend batting .800 with 30 at bats.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
My father passed away a year before I started my college career. My college coach taught me that whatever is bothering you outside of the white foul lines can wait until you are off the field. Once you cross into fair territory, ball is all that matters and all you can control. That was particularly important for having a successful 2020 season with a world full of distractions outside the white foul lines.

Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
I am responsible for raising $1,000,000 each year for cancer patients.
