What positions do you play and what is your best position?
Infield, best position is probably 3rd base

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
I've seen some great ones during the conference season, but the best one i've seen as good sample size of is Eric Galon. The guy doesn't get talked about much but he is one of the best players i've ever seen.

Competitiveness

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?

Twinsburg, OH

Hangin out with my wife and kid.

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Baseball, football, and wrestling in high school. Couple years of college baseball.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Started playing locally with some buddies. Longtime elk & elk/cash house alum Monte Taylor helped me get together with rob whitehouse and on the team. I owe a lot of where I am to Monte.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
The talent level and the amount of work that these guys put in on off days. Most teams 1-10 have stud hitters.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
No not really. I just try to pick something up from every big time guy I see.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Yea Bob Lawson, Billy Wood, and Rob Whitehouse have helped me out big time. And like I said Monte Taylor helped me get to where I am.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Cut down on league play and take more BP.

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
2 fingers off the knob. 28 oz end load.

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Workout and take BP.

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Cleveland Browns and Indians. Favorite sport is baseball.

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
I have to let Steve Zemanek choose that. So whenever that time comes don't judge me.

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
Equal Homerun limit for all teams.

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Cincinnati Major. Just a good atmosphere, especially Friday night.

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
Eric Galon getting hit in the crotch while pitching. The theatrics that followed were priceless and something I will never forget.
