2018 Free Agent – Robstunton@yahoo.com

What positions do you play and what is your best position?
Pitch, Catch, First. I would say pitching is my best position.

Why do you like the game of softball?
I like the competitiveness of playing the game. And how fast paced it is.

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Logs, everyone called my dad Stixx, but he was skinny lol so I was nicknamed logs.

What is your height and weight?
6ft

Where do you call home?
Davenport, Fl.

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Hitting some bp, or going fishing, hanging out with the family.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Started playing Church ball and league, was seen in league and kept getting asked to play up. Played with Wileys as a C team then got bumped to B.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
Everyone hits in conference, teams that aren't conf don't always have a lineup full of guys that hit .700.

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Pitching for Wileys and finishing 3rd in my first Conference tourney at the Space City tournament in Houston. Also finishing 2nd in B Worlds this year.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Had a friend who would take me out and we would bp 3 or 4 times a week, I would say I wouldn't be where I am without him. Also my dad, growing up and watching him play ball and him teaching me how to pitch.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Keep hitting bp and try to have a great attitude, never know who will be watching.

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
I drop one finger on the bottom hand and 2 off of the top hand. I prefer a 26 endload

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
A lot of Bp, and throwing pitches, started doing some cardio as well to get myself to the next level.

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
I like the Seahawks for football and the rays for baseball

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Superdraft in Florida, got to play with and against some of the best ball players around.

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Houston at the big league field of dreams. Love playing in the stadium replicas.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Koizi sushi in Brandon fl.

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Luis Reyna has the best glove I have ever seen, and hits it too. Also would say Andy Purcell, being a pitcher that hits and plays his position.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Chris Waterman puts in a lot of work and has a good attitude, Pat Donahue played with him and the guy plays the game. Devin Anderson and Pete Sieden both great young hitters.

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Rappers Delight
