The tournament was held in memory of former Resmondo manager Frank Webb who was from the St. Louis area.

RESMONDO/SIS/THUNDER/RDD/H.AUTO/SPRIZZI/S&S/EASTON won a rain shortened St. Louis Major this past weekend.  They rolled through the Sunday 'final 8' with run rule wins over Headlines/Titan/CSB/Easton 21-0, Premier/TG/HDLNS/4With.com/Easton 23-8, and a championship blowout of Pure Sports 32-11, after struggling in the rain and mud against a local 'B' team Starkey/Gorillas Friday night 44-32.  Resmondo outfielder Patrick Ellwanger was MVP and Missouri native and Resmondo middle infielder Kevin Bazat was Defensive MVP.  A shorthanded Pure Sports team was 2nd, TPJS/Seminoles/NACSF.inc/Miken/SIS finished 3rd, and Premier finished 4th.  After playing down to the final 8 in the winner's bracket on Friday night in the mud and rain, the parks shut down the fields on Saturday even though it was sunshine and perfect weather for softball all day long.  This forced the Conference to go to a shortened 8 team – winner's bracket only format called a compass bracket which resulted in all 8 teams scheduled to play 3 games on Sunday.  I will show how all of that worked out in the full report later today.  All teams that did not play on Sunday and loser bracket teams earned 109 Conference points equal to 9th place.
