1st Place – Pure Sports/Monsta

Pure Sports/Monsta a 'AA' team based out of South Carolina won their second Conference USSSA event of the season this past weekend (August 25-27) at the "Pure Sports" Atlanta Major at Al Bishop Complex in Marietta, Georgia. The rains held off and the 32 team tournament was completed without any delays. Precision/3rd Street/Bull Dawg Trucking a 'AA' team out of Illinois won their first 5 games in dominating fashion, including a 35-34 win over Pure Sports in the winner's bracket finals. But on Sunday morning Pure Sports knocked off Nightmare/Miken (MO-AA) 39-30, then "double dipped" Precision in the finals 42-20 and 42-30, displaying superior infield defense and an offense that wouldn't quit. Riot Sports/Beckham/Worth a 'AA' team from Florida finished 4th and Nightmare/Miken ended up 3rd. Sports Reach from Kentucky was the highest finishing 'B' team at tied for 5th, and Premier/Easton/HDLNS the highest finishing 'A' team also tied for 5th.
