Active duty Navy
How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Started off playing on my unit team in Guam.
John Kings posted a video of me from a military tournament and I got a call after that.
What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Winning the Portland Major and walking away with Tournament MVP. Also representing the Navy on the All Armed Forces tournament.
In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Brett Cannon and Edwin Jorge for giving me a shot to play military A in 2016 even though they had never seen me play
What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Play better competition and bigger tournaments. Challenge yourself instead of collecting the tshirt wins
What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
Conventional baseball 25.5
What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Gym, BP, take fly balls, and pick up to play
What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Yankees and baseball of course
What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Any military tournament where I get to step in the field with and against brothers from other services
What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Hard to beat the new complex in Viera but I’m going with Sky view in Colorado Springs because it’s where I got my start with my military team which led to my shot at the conference last year.
