1B/3B/C/EH

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
I can’t just list one

Why do you like the game of softball?
I love the competitiveness and traveling and meeting new people.

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Bramzilla, lol (DW started it in Maryland in 2015)

What is your height and weight?
6’3 235lbs.

Where do you call home?
Murrieta, CA

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Spending time with my Fiancé (Jessica Beaver) and our three kids.

What do you do for a living?
I have a private Baseball/Softball Training Business as well I am the Assistant Coach for Women’s Softball at University of Saint Katherine in San Marcos, CA

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Yes I played baseball and basketball in HS. I played college baseball at Cal State Fullerton and JC Baseball at Rancho Santiago. 1996 11th round pick with KC Royals and played three years with them and a winter season with Tampa Bay.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Eli Aguilar got me to play with OC Swats at Toys4Tots back in 2013. From there I joined the Conference in 2014.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
The quality of players. Less mistakes made on field

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
No

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Winning B Worlds in 2015. Also my performance at the Major World Series in 2018, 22-25 10 HR.  Also 2017 finishing third in conference hitting .812.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Not really

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Just work hard and don’t worry about what people say. Control what you can control.

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
One pinky over bottom hand.

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Workout in the gym 5 days a week. Try to get out and hit. Have not had the time to play league in three years.

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Los Angeles Dodgers, but I enjoy watching all teams. I do like playing golf when I have the time.

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
I get in batters box the same way I have since high school.

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
I like all music so depends on the mood I’m in.

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
I think they have done pretty well.

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
The Smoky. Just a great atmosphere. I really enjoy Seattle too.

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Space coast has come along nicely. I like Seattle as well. Also Columbus, GA. First time there for Conference Championship. Really liked it.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?

    Thank you EVERYONE! I appreciate the support! I look forward to this year and learning more and more! OC Swats is not only a great team, but a great group of guys off the field and I consider them all friends. I also am thankful to Henri Nuber and Johnny Gallegos for this opportunity!
