Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
There are a lot of them and can’t really say there is a best. They are all great to reach conference play!
Why do you like the game of softball?
I love the high competition of it

Dante Broome
What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Heeman or Hawaii
What is your height and weight?
5’9 215lbs.
Where do you call home?
Hawaii, but I fly to wherever I can get an opportunity to play ball! I sacrifice a lot just to make it in conference! I’m a real dedicated player.
What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Training for any up coming tourneys! The grind never stop for me!
What do you do for a living?
Golf course maintenance
Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
High school and a little college
How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Got an opportunity to play in my first conference tournament as a pickup/role player with Tropics/Demarini of Cincy
What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
Defensively conference is tougher. Hitters hit harder and smarter.
Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
No, I have my own way on playing the game.
What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
First clutch homerun to potential win my first conference game
In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Kenny Chavez always giving me advice on what to work on. Brett Helmer telling me what it takes to get to that highest level!
What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Never give up and always put in that grind of work!
What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
Normal grip
What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
4 days a week of BP and Fielding. 5 days a week of weight lifting and getting in that cardio!
What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
LA Dodgers for baseball and football I just have a favorite player(Peyton Manning)
Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
Pray before every game
What would be your "at bat" music selection?
No easy way out from Rocky
What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Spiderz Draft cause it’s big and it’s fun!
What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Vegas BLD and Berliner fields in Columbus Ohio
Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Anywhere
What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
Runners tripping when scoring on a base hit
Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
Down to earth person with a lot of heart. Easy going with whoever picks me up for 2021 season! Really dedicated on working on my craft to better myself on reaching the highest level! True to my word that if I’m coming to play I will and putting out 120% out on the field!
