With softball just when you think you have seen it all, is always has a new surprise for you.  I love to compete no matter what it is.

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
I have only been around the game for a little while but, if I were a sponsor I would start with guys like Brett Helmer and Robert Blackburn.  Not only do they get it done on the field but, great guys as well.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
I think there are a lot of really good up and coming players.  What makes you an up and coming player is the question?  454’s Kevin Johnson is up and coming and he is 68.

I Don’t really have one.

I love to hunt, fish and hang out with friends and family.

What do you do for a living?
I am a Sergeant with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
I played Football, Basketball, and Baseball at Avon Park high school in Florida, where I was drafted in the 9th round by the Milwaukee Brewers.  I signed with Brewers spent a few years with them then signed with the Mariners.  It took me 7 years to figure it out.  LOL

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I was seen at a back yard and asked to finish the year with Suncoast Reebok in 08

What was the best advice you were ever given?
Hitting the ball out, will get you cut as fast as it got you picked up!!!!!!  Play the game!!

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Just play hard you never know who’s watching.

What position do you play?
CF this year thanks to good health.  The last few years I have been hurt so I have played all the way around the infield.  I even pitched a little at the HOF with Gasit in 2010 but, that was way to easy!! LOL

What is your favorite sport other than softball?
Anything where score is kept.

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
Nope, Practice and you won’t need superstitions.

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
I walked up to Mystical “Here I go” it  always seemed to get crowd going.

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
I haven’t been playing long enough to have an opinion.  However I hate seeing altered bats everywhere you go.  Man up!!

What is your favorite non-World tournament?
I like the Police World Series out in Vegas.

What is the best softball field you have played at and why?
I like all the Big League Dreams parks.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Depends on what time we finish.  I seem to always be looking for AC.

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
It rained for about 15 minutes and I told our left fielder he was going to need cleats, he said “I’m good.”  The first three balls were hit to him that inning, he fell on all three of them, dropping two balls and the third ball hitting him right in the chest on his way down.  Good times!!!
