What positions do you play and what is your best position?
Utility. Best to worst OF, 2nd, 3rd, P

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
All around i would have to say Wegs and Loyd. 

Why do you like the game of softball?
I really enjoy the competition play in upper levels. And the people you get to meet every year. 

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Michigan has a few players I'm excited to see where they end up in the next couple years. Sam Thiel, Bo Goins & Jerry Ferris are all fun to watch

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Slicker. Just my last name. Been called Slicker by all my sports teams all my life

What is your height and weight?
6.1 245lbs

Where do you call home?

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Either at my daughters dance competitions or out on my quad riding on the trails

What do you do for a living?
I am an engineer in the automotive industry 

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
I played hockey growing up through Juniors

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I just decided i wanted to play beer league ball when i was 20. Got on a local league team. Then year after year started getting more and more involved with the game. Until last year Shannan Green gave me the opportunity to play B with GMS. 

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
The defense and consistency of the play and hitting. 

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Hitting the walk off HR for a mercy win for rings at GSL B worlds last year.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Willie Sirls for sure. He made me have the itch to play this game at the highest level i could get to. And has become a close friend of mine over the years. Would've never known what tourney ball was if not for him.. 

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Heart and Hustle are free.. Playing hard when you think no one is watching. Don't burn bridges. You've gotta have the talent but also be a teammate people want to be around. 

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
Overlap with one finger dropped off the knob

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
A lot of BP after a couple months off. And boxing conditioning to stay in shape. 

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
I've been a fan of the Dallas Stars and the NHL my whole life. 

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
No, not really

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Whatever my daughter picks for that weekend. 

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
It honestly seems to be at a good place from my perspective. 

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Finn camp.. Its local festival tourney here in MI and is always a blast. 

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Space Coast or the Myrtle Beach complex

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
To many memories to pin point just one..
