Third and first base

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Dale Brungardt

Why do you like the game of softball?
I enjoy the atmosphere of it being a team game not a individual sport.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Kenny Chavez because he has a great attitude and knows a lot about the game and he showed veteran leadership.

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Country. From always wearing boots and listening to country music I would assume

6’4 265 pounds

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Pig huntin

What do you do for a living?
Equipment operator

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Football

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I got the start playing league ball in Oregon. I got to the upper level because of joe Visser being influenced by another players opinion that I am friends with.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
The pace of the game and the consistency of the pitchers

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
I’m not sure I compare to anyone. But if there is someone I would
Like to compare my game to it would be kyle Pearson.

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Hitting a ball dead center out of space coast felt pretty good.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
I would have to say Brandon Traylor because he is always positive and trying to help
People better their game

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Stay hungry and always work on your craft

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
Tape 27.5

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Take as many swings in BP that I can and play some
League ball to keep my fielding fresh

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Football and the dallas cowboys

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
I always have to put bio freeze on my arm wether it’s sore or not

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Born country by Alabama

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
I’m not sure!

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Toys for tots. It’s a fun fun tourney

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Space coast it’s an amazing park

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
A steak house

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
Brandon Traylor falling down outta the box and still smiling about it

Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
I play video games
