What positions do you play and what is your best position?
Anywhere on the infield. 2b and 3b are probably my best positions.

The competition

Toledo, Ohio

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
High school baseball and a little bit of jr. college baseball. I Had some pro tryouts.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I started playing for fun after I was done with baseball but I had no clue that softball existed at such a high level. As soon as I found out about upper ball I started grinding to move up to the highest level I could get to.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
The speed of the game, guys are much bigger, and umpires are a lot better.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
Not really I just try to play the game the right way.

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
2nd place at A worlds as a B team in 2017 with TG Brand. We went on an unreal run and it was the most fun I've ever had on a softball field. Winning the last chance major home run derby in 2011 as a local C player was unreal as well.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Stay loyal to the team you are on but also look out for yourself at the same time.

Baseball grip with my pinky wrapped around the knob.

I Try to stay in shape and not get fat and lazy

Football and baseball are my favorite sports. Dallas cowboys and Detroit Tigers are my favorite teams.

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
nope

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Killing in the name of by Rage against the machine

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
Make people get in the batters box faster instead of letting some of these guys take 2 minutes to get in the box. I think it would speed the game up a ton.

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
I think all the complex's that have turf are the nicest. But my favorite complex to play at was fortune rd.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Wings or pizza

What was your favorite sports related gift you have ever given or received?
My first baseball glove
