What positions do you play and what is your best position?
All outfield positions, 1B, I can play all other positions if needed.

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
To many to mention!!!

Why do you like the game of softball?
The brotherhood and great people you meet, it Takes me back to being a kid once I step on the field.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Phil Matte,
My dude straight smashes the ball everywhere, he is young and hungry, and is a great teammate. Any team would benefit from him!!

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
White Chocalate on the BSC and Layups everywhere else lol.

I got white chocolate from my younger days playing basketball.

Layups came from my Cooper team in 2012, my teammate and friend Justin Evans  would hit a gap or hole through the infield and yell “nobody’s there”, so I would hit a gap or hole and yell “layup” lol, it has stuck with me every since.

What is your height and weight?
5’10” 180

Where do you call home?
Cincinnati, Ohio

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Spending time with my wife and kids.

What do you do for a living?
I’m a Process Coordinator for AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals.

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Played Semi Pro Basketball, stopped playing baseball in the beginning of high school.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Got my first shot to play “B” conference with TG in 2014, and Pace in 2016.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
No difference, just players are better at every position in the conference.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
Rick Baker

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Individually:
Robbing a homerun from rapid fire in the usssa A World Series championship “if” game, and Going 7-7 against Resmondo this year (a game in which we won)

As a Team:
This year run ruling Resmondo in 6 innings in Columbus Ohio.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Nike Meadows (Coach for Pace),
He has a positive answer for every situation to improve your game, and has mentored me since 2009.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Shine every chance you get, because you never know who might be watching!!!

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
Pinky over lap, and pinky hanging off.
26 Oz.

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Bp, playing basketball, and keeping my body right in the gym.

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Cincinnati Bengals, Football/Basketball.

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
No superstitions!!

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
I’m on a new level by ASAP Ferg.

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
Nothing.

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
The Metro in Cincinnati Ohio, the biggest tournament (Team wise) in the country, the tournament lasts two full weeks.

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Eggleston softball fields (better known as “Mid American ballyard” in Cincinnati Ohio ), this where I started playing softball and been playing for the past 19 years.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Texas Roadhouse.

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
My good friend (no name needed) fully swinging out of his shoes and missing for the strike out.

Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
I won a 1999 hoop it up slam dunk contest in Cincinnati Ohio, and served in the United States Army for 8 years.

What was your favorite sports related gift you have ever given or received?
All five World Series Rings/All world Team trophies lol.
