Played for L&S Glass 2019 and 2020, and Classy/SourceOne/SLM a B Team out of Arizona for 2021

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Travis Clark and Andy Purcell

Why do you like the game of softball?
Grew up around the game when I was little my grandfather and father played i fell in love with the sport. Nothing like a summer night and the lights are on and the crack of the bat.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
There are a lot, I would have to say my boy Nick Day! Had a hell of a season this year with Dan Smith.

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
E or Ev

What is your height and weight?

Where do you call home?
Arizona

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Spending time with my wife and my family. Nothing better than that.

What do you do for a living?
Quality control for a home builder

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
High school baseball and basketball

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Started watching my father and grandfather  at a young age. And I was called for an opportunity to try out with L&S glass.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
Atmosphere and the intensity

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
My first tournament as a conference player at the Seattle dual in 2019.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
My father and my wife are the top 2 who come to mind. I’ve been blessed with a lot of people who have helped me at some point in my career to many to name.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Practice! Weather it be BP working on holes and placement of the ball, to fielding or working on pitches. If you want to get to that level you have to put in the time to be better.

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
I switch it up from a baseball grip to a slight 2 finger overlap

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Living in az is the nice part don’t really have an off season play year around here.

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Hockey

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
Never step on a white line, and every plate appearance I dig in my grandfathers number into the dirt as a reminder of him.

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Ramen and OJ – Joyner Lucas and lil baby

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Toys 4 Tots in Palm Springs, because the atmosphere and it’s just one of the tournaments that is just a tournament you can’t miss. if you know you know.

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Peoria sports complex here in AZ, and I’d say space coast and Berliner in OH

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Jersey Mike’s

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
My buddy tripped of first base and broke His collar bone
