What positions do you play and what is your best position?
Catcher EH, 1st

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
There's alot of great ones I've seen and played against.

Why do you like the game of softball?
The camaraderie that you share with good teammates. And I love competing with the best

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Theres alot of young and upcoming talent that I've seen play that can compete at the high level

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
D Mac. Has been my name since I started playing sports.

What is your height and weight?
6ft 2 250ish

Where do you call home?
Asheville, NC

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
In the woods hunting or on the water fishing

What do you do for a living?
Work for the city of Asheville

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Yes high school football. Troy University football. NFL St Louis Rams

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Playing local ball around the house. Then I was introduced to Ryan Wilson who coached a competitive C team that gave me my shot.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
The amount of power in a conference line up. And how a good team can execute off of errors.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
No I'm just me

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Coming off a bad 2020 season, starting the 2021 season on a conference B team and ending the 2021 season with AA team SportsReach.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Not just a single player but Everett Williams, Bradley Jones, Jason Magnum, and Argen Dodds has been a huge inspiration.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Staying true to the grind and trust the process

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
Over lap pinky off the knob, and 27.5

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
BP BP and more BP

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Nascar

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
The Smoky

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Space coast

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Walk Ons in Veira Fl
