What positions do you play and what is your best position?
Utility

Why do you like the game of softball?
It's a faster pace then baseball.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Jon Gastineau and Flip Washington

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
The russian. Because I am russian.

What is your height and weight?
5'10 210 lbs

Where do you call home?
Boise, Idaho

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
With my kiddos.

What do you do for a living?
Electrician

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
High school and college

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Played with my high school baseball coach and Aaron Poysky, Ryan Lekness and Jose Sanchez gave me the chance to play on newbreed 3 years ago.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
People hitting the ball harder haha.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
Um probably Edgar Martinez I have a inside out swing.

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
Probably c world's with headcase. We lost our first game and came all the way back and took 5th.

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
my neighbor Matt Munger. He taught me everything about sports. He was a great role model growing up to me and still is. Also learned alot from Rick Wiebe and Kevin Fry.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Be a team player and know your never bigger then the game.

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
Normal I guess and 27oz

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Take bp twice a week.

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Baseball by far and I am a Yankees fan

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
Don't cross bats

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Fort minor "Remember the name"

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
Nothing. Everyone should just adjust on what the rules are.

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Sumas 4th July tournament in Washington, homedale, blood and guts and superdraft in lacey Washington.

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
ASA HOF by far.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Buffalo Wild wings
