Why do you like the game of softball?
You meet people from all walks of life that love softball.  Also I am a very competitive person.

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
HR Hitter – Hank Garris
Teammate – Jason Kendrick hands down
Also – Dal Beggs intensity is unreal

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Jeremy Isenhower – Izzy can do it all.  Chad Durick, but I gotta give credit to my brother Dustin Roberts – Stone Cold Hitta 

What is your nickname in softball?
99's – Big Country

What is your height and weight?
6'4  250

Where do you call home?
Sarasota, Florida

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Beach with family – muddin/camping/fishing/boating

What do you do for a living?
Owner/Operator of Extreme Nutrition / 2 stores with my girlfriend 

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Football, basketball, and baseball

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Watching Steeles growing up – Roger Black was coaching them.  Also playing with Lee Trotter from Suncoast and Troy Nance from T&R Stucco

What was the best advice you were ever given?
Swing hard.  Easy swing is easy out.

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Respect your sponsors and work hard at your game, but remember it is just a game

What position do you play?
1B, C, EH, RF

What batting grip do you use?
Overlap, 2 fingers under knob

What ounce bat do you use?
28-29 oz

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Nothing, I'm in shape all year round – very clean diet.  I am a health nut, and a gym rat

What is your favorite sports team?
Dallas Cowboys and Ohio State Buckeyes

What is your favorite sport other than softball?
Football

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
I draw a line from the front corner of home plate with the end of the bat.  Thats where I put my back foot.

What is your most memorable softball moment?
2008 'A' Worlds top of 7 with 2 outs I hit a grand slam to opposite field against Jean Shoppe.

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
Hank Williams Jr. / Country boy can survive

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
Continue to even the playing field.  This past year was one of the most competitive.

What is your favorite non-World tournament?
Dudley and Boone's

What is the best softball field you have played at and why?
Disney Stadium

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Any place with good BBQ and sweet tea.

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
Has to be when I was at Dudley 2009 talking to a girl and Dustin Roberts sent his daughters over to me and they said "uncle Brett did you get your medicine for those bumps!  Wow, I couldn't do anything but laugh.

    I’m not sure you’ll find a better teammate than Brett. He has a work ethic like no other, and will definitely make a great addition to any team out there looking. Leadership is hard to find sometimes, but Brett takes it to an entirely different level.
