Who are you playing with in 2014?
4 The Fallen/Miken/Evo9x – bwilliams@colquittregional.com

What positions do you play and what is your best position?
Outfield and 1st base

Who is the best softball player you have ever seen play?
Don Dedonatis Jr, Brett Helmer, Greg Connell and Jason Kendrick

Why do you like the game of softball?
The competition of the game and the atmosphere of a tournament draws me to the game.

Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Luis Reyna- smart hitter and has super fast hands, works really hard on his game.
David Kessler- extremely great team mate, hits it a ton and plays hard

What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
"Cinnamon"
Matt Arlett and most of my teammates on the scene started calling me that and said it was my stage name haha.

What is your height and weight?
6'0 – 215lbs

Where do you call home?
I live in Moultrie, Ga.

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
I love spending time with my family. I have a 4 year old Jacobi and 2 year old Jenson we either riding four wheelers, fishing or watching football.

What do you do for a living?
I am a personal trainer and sports nutritionist. I work as the Health and Wellness Coach for Colquitt Regional Medical Center. My job consists of developing diet and exercise plans for employees. My job also allows me to work with many of our local high school athletes and sports teams.

Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
Yes I played baseball all four years, play two years at college until eligibility became a issue.

How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
I played in 'The Rose' tournament here with Jr., Connell, and Kendrick. As I was playing Pete Campbell and Jose Santiago was coming by watching. They asked Jason Kendrick about me and a few weeks later I was playin with AJS. I really felt honored to have been coached and call Pete Campbell a friend, he is real good people.

What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
The defense and the professionalism of the conference teams are so different it is unreal.

Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
probably Jason Kendrick. He is really good friends with my family and I saw him play ever since he started upper softball. The way he carries himself and the company he plays for is unreal. Never takes a play off and losing is not an option for him. I can't compare myself to him but I strive to play like that.

What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
The desert falls game in B worlds we was down I think 20 and was about to get run ruled. We end up coming back winning the game and b worlds. I had like 5 rbi's in one inning

In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Pete Campbell- Guy believed in me and pushed me to be a better man and player

What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
You are a brand, you got help promote and sell your brand. So when your at a tournament whether you are playing or not, act professional. No one wants to invest their companies name on a childish kid. If your good, your game will show it not your mouth. Remember Pride goes before destruction I had to learn all that the hard way though

What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
27-28 endload
bottom hand half off the nob and pinky/index fingers locked

What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Before I finished school and learned about proper in season/off season prep I went about it wrong. Now I stay around 215-220 if I alter anything its my diet. Staying fit is 70% diet, 20% training, and 10% supplements. I don't care what kind of supplements you are taking whether legal or illegal if you ain't working, your not gonna see results.

What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Alabama Crimson Tide now, my little bro Ty Smith is playing TE there this year!!
Also our local football team the Colquitt County Packers.

Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
I always pray this prayer "Jesus I give you my heart, eyes, ears and mouth, help me look more like you and less like me"

Also I wear a necklace with my grandfathers ring on it when I play

What would be your "at bat" music selection?
300 Violin Orchestra- Jorge Quitero or
Turn Down For What – Lil Jon

What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
May sound stupid but finish the tournaments off Saturday night, so everyone can fly out earlier to get home to there family/

What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
"The Rose" its unlimited, a lot of talent there and close to home. Also I love playing in Cincy Major its really fun

Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
I play the guitar and I'm scared to death of sharks hahah

What was your favorite sports related gift you have ever given or received?
My buddies Brett Helmer of Easton sports and Andrew Dubberly of Down to Earth Sports got me some gear for a local charity event. The tournament was to raise money for some special needs children, I took some hats and shirts out there and those kids was so excited. That was two years ago and I still see those kids rockin the D2E hats and Easton shirts. People like Brett and Andrew make this sport awesome.

What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Disney Hands down!! The field is awesome, crowds are big, and my boys love mickey mouse haha.

Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
If time allows any Japanese steak house, but if time is short Chick Fila.

What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
In cincy playing Pure Romance. We win, we make the major that year. Both teams been chirping all game, so bottom of the 7th we down 1 run. My brotha Aaron Willis comes up, with two out, runners on 2nd and 3rd with a homerun left. Aaron hits a complete missile that he thinks is a homerun, so naturally he bows up, does the best bat flip ever and giving high fives and hugs. I'm at first screaming to run. Well naturally it doesn't go out, but the runs score yet he never touched first. We shake hands thinking the game is over, then nearly start the next game. Then rick comes over and says we lost because he never touched first. So Pure romance literally had to come from out the parking lot to play the next game. It wasn't funny at the time but to ride in the car to the room with Mark Dennis, Matt Arlett and Aaron was priceless. That hit was known as "the shot heard around the world"
