Ryan Harvey
Why do you like the game of softball?
The friendships that are created from it last a lifetime.
Who is the best up and coming player in softball and why?
Alex Alstott he is a five tool athlete and has great upside
What is your nickname in softball and how did you get it?
Mr. SwingtheLOU I’m the north Texas pro advisory staff member for Louisville and thats the phrase I put in my sales pitches. So it stuck and it’s my nickname

What's your favorite way to spend an off weekend?
Working on my game and spending time with my family
What do you do for a living?
Oil field sales
Did you play sports in High School / College / Pro?
College basketball, football, baseball, and track in high school
How did you get your start in softball and how did you get to the upper level?
Started playing league in Houston Texas and started playing tournaments in 09 working my way up to a B team in 2021 and then got my shot at conference in 2022. I know I have a lot to offer at this level and I would be a great pickup at this level!!
What was the most surprising difference between Conference play and non-Conference play when you made the jump?
Defense is more consistent and the bat ball combo are a different
Is there a player that you would compare your game to?
Chris Isennock
What would you say is your career highlight to this point? Maybe one play or game that sticks out to you in particular?
First game in conference went 4-5 and hit a bomb and realized I can compete at this level
In your career was there a single person (player/manager/coach) who had the most significant impact on your approach to the game? Why?
Flip Washington and taking the time to talk to me at a BP session on having a reason to BP not just come to swing come with a purpose
What advice can you give a young player trying to break into the upper level?
Be humble and be a great teammate
What type of batting grip do you use and what ounce bat?
Traditional and I swing a 26oz bat
What do you do in the offseason to prepare for the next softball season?
Work on my swing and get into playing shape
What is your favorite sports team and your favorite sport other than softball?
Texas Rangers
Do you have any superstitions and if so, what are they?
None
What would be your "at bat" music selection?
They don’t know – gyft
What is the best improvement upper level softball could make?
More consistency with the balls
What is your favorite non-World tournament and why?
Sickle cell in Shreveport the environment is amazing
What is the best softball field/complex you have played at and why?
Texas star the turf changed how the fields play and it’s a great facility
Where is the best place to eat on the road after a game?
Chick-fil-A
What is the funniest thing you have ever seen on a softball field?
When a buddy of mine fell 3 times running to home and he wasn’t drunk
Tell us something about you that most would never know about you?
Favorite movie is Road House
