The all new Challenger Park in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

Envy/Lifetime Diamonds/Legendary a new Conference 'A' team out of Texas run by Spencer Sangster used at times a suffocating defense, good pitching, and early leads to go undefeated and win the 2021 Sooner Invitational in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  They bested the 25 team field beating Smoke 19-14 on Friday night, Dirty Vegas 22-19 on Saturday morning, they beat Thunder/Chosen 20-19 when Thunder had the hammer Saturday evening, and they jumped out to a nice lead and held down the favorite Seminoles 22-14 on Saturday night, and beat them again in the Championship 22-17 on Sunday.  Envy was led by their lead off man Mario Moralez who was named MVP of the tournament and their middle infielder Ryan Tomasi the pitcher who was Defensive MVP.  Dudley/Gas a 'B' team from Missouri was a surprise 3rd place finisher after losing their 1st game of the tournament, and Thunder/Chosen/Competitive Edge/SOG who was one of the upset favorites finished 4th.

I (DW) was not at the tournament so thank you to everyone who sent me pictures and to Jennifer Lemon the director who put up the live stream cameras.

Team by team notes brought to you by:

1st Place – Envy/Lifetime Diamonds/Legendary

Conf 'A' from TX  5-0 Record

The Envy defense (at least when I watched) was playing great led by middle man Kyle Bullock who is a former USSSA 'A' World champion when he played for Steel Sports a few years ago.  Moralez at the top of the order was lacing extra base hits around the yard and Bowser was sounding off on early home runs to give them leads against Seminoles.  Also pitcher Tomasi was getting key outs when needed.

2nd Place – Seminoles/TPS/NACSF.Inc

Conf 'A' from OK  4-2 Record

Seminoles was definitely the favorites but just didn't score when needed against Envy.  They needed the points to make the Major World Series run and it looked like they had all of their players and everyone was healthy.

3rd Place – Dudley/Gas

'B' from MO  6-2 Record

A team we don't know much about but after losing their first game on Friday night they beat Infinity, Tune Squad, Dirty Vegas, Aristotle, J&R Logistics, and Thunder Chosen to finish 3rd!

4th Place – Thunder/Chosen/Competitive Edge/SOG

Conf 'B' from TX  3-2 Record

Thunder Chosen is a young team of conference prospects run by Tim Barnes who had the bats in their hands in the bottom of the 7th against Envy in the semi finals.  One swing and it may have been them that had a good shot at winning the Sooner.
