The 2nd annual Salt Lake City Classic is this weekend. There is a quality field of 22 'C' and higher teams in the event including 1 'AA' team Precision and 6 'A' teams looking to pick up some points since this is the final regular season tournament of the year. The tournament begins at 5 PM Friday evening and teams play as many as 3 games going into Saturday.
The women are having a dual event with Dual #1 played on Friday and Dual #2 being played on Saturday. There are 12 women's teams led by Smash It Sports/Derby Girls the #1 team in the nation.

This weekend at the Salt Lake City Classic presented by Easton the team list includes a total of 22 teams and 14 Nationwide Conference USSSA teams in attendance including 0 major, 1 AA, 6 A, 10 B teams and 5 C teams. SEMINOLES/TPS/NACSF.INC is the #1 overall seed based on Conference points. The other teams looking to get the win: Precision/3rd St./Red Athlete/Pure; WestPoint Softball and MAJ/KNELL/Dirty Sports/DTS/DOMN8. Side notes: Precision can jump up to the 13 seed in the Major with the win. My Auto Jack needs a top 2 finish to jump to the #9 seed and Westpoint needs a top 2 seed to qualify for the Major.
Salt Lake City Major Predictions: The tournament begins Friday night at 5 pm MST with the play-in, first and second round games. The "Final Four" starts at 10 am MST on Saturday with Nightmare versus Westpoint and Precision versus Seminoles (2-8 Record vs. AA & Major teams). The winners advance to the undefeated game immediately following at 2 pm. In the loser’s bracket, look for My Auto Jack to make it back to the 4th place game.
