2021 Crown Town Classic Major Bracket and Teams Link

Conference USSSA heads to a new tournament they dubbed the "Crown Town" Classic and it is at Mid America Sports Complex in Shawnee, Kansas where they have converted 4 of their main fields to artificial turf. The men's Major which has 36 teams including all 4 Major teams (Smash It, Resmondo, Dan Smith/Proton, MPT) starts on Friday at 6:00 PM CENTRAL time and they bring back 4 teams on Sunday. On the women's side there are 12 teams and they start at 8:30 AM Saturday morning and bring back 4 teams on Sunday. Smash It/Derby Girls, Traders Reloaded, Classic Glass, MTO, Xtreme, Greenspace and others in the bracket. The fields are 300 foot and fields 1-4 have artificial turf. The men's uses the 8-12-16 home run limits and the Dudley Pro-M ball. There is rain in the forecast.

The big news this week of course is that Dan Smith has returned and bought into the Proton/Sonny's Major team and will now be running that team as Dan Smith/Proton. The bracket is a little top heavy with 4 Major teams and only 4 AA/A teams and then a pile of B, C, and D teams.

SmashItSports/Newbreed/TDB/RF/BD/T3 is the #1 overall seed. The other teams looking to get the win are: Resmondo/Smash It/Menosse/Thunder; Proton/Sonny's; and MPT Rentals/Juno Athletics. How will Proton do after merging with Dan Smith? Will MPT Rentals turn it around after Myrtle Beach or continue to trend down? Also, how will Envy compete against the Major teams? (0-4 on the season)

Crown Town Classic Major Predictions: All Conference USSSA teams will play 2 games on Friday night against local teams except for J&R Logistics and BNS/SIS/Easton should play each other. The Elite 8 starts at 10 am and should consist of Proton versus Envy, Resmondo versus Xtreme, MPT Rentals versus Nightmare and Smash It Sports/Newbreed versus J&R Logistics. The final 4 undefeated should be: Proton versus Resmondo and Nightmare versus Smash It Sports/Newbreed. The power hitting from Resmondo will help them make it to the championship game undefeated. In the losers bracket, I predict all the teams that drop down to win their next game.
