Resmondo and Smash It/Derby Girls take rainy Cincinnati Major 2021!

The winner's bracket finals between Resmondo and SNI started after 2 AM Sunday morning.

Resmondo did it, they won on dirt and on 300 foot fields besting a strong field of 44 teams at the Cincinnati Major July 16-18. The tournament was played in full but all but the last 2 games were shortened to 5 inning contests to get the tournament completed. Heavy rains and lightning strikes prevented almost all of the games until about 3 PM Saturday afternoon when the winner's bracket was played straight through until 3 AM in the morning Sunday and finished up restarting at 8 AM. Resmondo the #3 seed coming into the tournament had run rule wins in their 1st two games and then came from 10 runs down against MPT Rentals to win 37-36 in the quarterfinals. They then used superior offense to beat Xtreme 39-25 in the semifinals, and their nemesis SNI/Thunder 38-17 in the winner's final, and finished off the tournament with an impressive 21-6 win over Smash It Sports in the championship. Xtreme finished 4th after forfeiting to Smash It on Sunday morning when their last player Dirk Updike was drilled on the 1st pitch of the loser's bracket semifinals. SNI finished 3rd again and Chick-fil-a and Juno Athletics two 'A' teams finished an impressive tied for 5th..

2021 Women's Cincinnati Major

Smash It Sports slugger Fiana Finau was 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and 6 RBI in the "if" game!

Lady SNI/LazyLlama/Demarini/LS one of the top Major teams in the country made it through the winner's bracket knocking off Smash It Sports/Derby Girls/Easton 12-8 in the winner's bracket finals at midnight Saturday. Then in the loser's bracket Smash It/Derby Girls beat Smash It Traders Reloaded 18-7 who had lost their 1st game of the tournament and then won 6 straight through the night to finish 3rd. In the championship Smash it Sports pulled out a 12-11 win over Lady SNI who had the hammer and forced the "if" game. In the final game Smash It Sports jumped out to an 8-0 lead on two Fiana Finau 3 run homers and held off a 7th inning rally by Lady SNI to take the tournament 8-4.
