The Nationwide Conference USSSA returns to South Carolina for the first time since 2012 with the Lexington, SC Major played at the Pine Grove softball facility. There are only 12 teams and 7 are from the Conference so the winner will get 165 + (3 x 7) = 186 points. Bad Draw/TDB/Rapid Fire/T2/BAF/Pauer is the only Major classed team in the tournament and the heavy favorite. But they will have to beat quality 'A' teams like TurnKey/CCP/Dan Smith/Worshams who was the highest finishing 'A' team in Maryland last weekend, and good teams like Sports Reach/Crunchtime/H&H/Grizzy from Kentucky, PrimeTime/Easton/FAI/Riot/Klutch form Georgia, SVC/Nager Law/Atrium/Grizzy/Easton from Ohio, and WorkSteer/Briggs from North Carolina. The local teams in these southeastern tournaments also pull off some upsets. The tournament starts on Friday night at 7 PM eastern and ends Saturday evening. There is some rain in the forecast for Friday but I hope to have the new livestream cameras up on all 4 fields for all of the games.
