2020 USSSA 'AA' World Bracket and Team list link

The 2020 USSSA 'AA' World Tournament will be played this coming Sunday and Monday, October 4-5 at the Space Coast complex in Viera, Florida.  There are 12 teams total and they will battle it out double elimination style to crown a deserving champion.  The tournament starts at 2 PM Eastern time on Sunday and the entire tournament will be played on the White quad with its 325 foot fences.  The winners bracket will play down to the final 2 teams Sunday evening with the loser's bracket and all of the remaining games played on Monday.  There are 5 'AA' teams and 7 'A' teams and they come from 10 different states.

Upsets were the norm the last 2 years in the 'AA'.  Remember last year Newbreed who had no success during the year came within one defensive play of winning the winner's bracket against eventual champion Bay Area Legends.  This years tournament looks like some great games as the 'A' teams sort out who will play the top 4 'AA' teams in the second round.  Then a possible semi final matchup between SmashIt/Precision and Anarchy/MPT could occur at 9 PM Sunday evening!

Upper Level USSSA Worlds are most often won by teams with twice as many in class wins as losses.  This years 'AA' does not have such a team.  So in my opinion this could be won by an 'A' team or a team outside of the big 3 (Bay Area, MPT, Precision).  The big 3 are expected to dominate (on paper) however.  Bay Area Legends showed early season strength beating Dan Smith in Phoenix and winning the Phoenix Major.  Then mid season Anarchy/MPT finished 2nd in Cincinnati and made a run at the Virginia Dual #2.  Then at the end of the season it was Smash It/Precision finishing strong with a 2nd place at Virginia Dual #1 and winning the Conference Championships!  All 3 of the top teams appear to have strengthened their rosters since the beginning of the season.  Bay Area picked up Brad Lunda from Pure.  MPT grabbed John Williams and Brian McBryde from Thunder.  And Precision picked up Brett McCollum and Jeff Keske from MPT.

The USSSA 'AA' World Tournament is played with Nationwide Conference rules – no floating rubber, foul on second strike is an out, and a 12 home run limit.  Fences are 325 feet and I assume the Dudley Pro M ball will be used but I have not had confirmation on that.

This weekend the AA World Tournament will take place in Viera, FL while only 12 teams will be in attendance with all 12 from the Nationwide Conference USSSA and will include 5 AA teams and 7 A teams.  The #1 overall seed Bay Area Legends/Easton will try to win and gain momentum for next weekend's Major World Series.  The other teams looking to upset the favorite are: ANARCHY/MPT RENTALS; Xtreme/Miken/Worth/Athlon/ASP and Smash It/Precision/3rd St/Bulldawg.

Predictions:  With the A World Series and AA World Series back to back none of the A teams will advance to the Final Four.  The final 4 undefeated should be Xtreme versus Bay Area and Precision versus Anarchy.  Bay Area will continue its dominance in AA and Precision will feed off it's Last Chance Victory to make it to the undefeated game.  In the loser's bracket, I predict all teams to win their next game after dropping down so that will put Xtreme and Anarchy in the 4th place game.  I predict Xtreme to move on to the 3rd place game to face Precision.
