2020 USSSA 'A' World Bracket and Team List Link

The 2020 USSSA 'A' World Tournament will be played this coming Friday and Saturday at the Space Coast Complex in Viera, Florida. The tournament features 32 teams from 20 different states and 17 of them are from the Nationwide Conference USSSA.  There are 18 'A' teams, 13 'B' teams, and one Military All Star team.  Recent 'A' Worlds have had a vast amount of early round upsets which should occur again this year.  Usually 3 or 4 of the top 6 seeds lose in the 1st two rounds.  The tournament begins on Friday, October 2nd at 1:30 PM and the championship is scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd at 6:30 PM.  The 32 teams play down to the final 4 of the winner's bracket on Friday.

It is hard to believe but there is no hurricane activity in the Atlantic ocean at this time.  For the first time in recent history none of the upper level USSSA World tournaments should be affected by a tropical storm!

Any team that wants their team photo taken, just let me know and as always we have to do the final 4 teams automatically.

The teams most likely to win these 'A' Worlds are the ones with twice as many wins vs the 'A' division as losses.  So SportsReach at 17-6, WestPoint at 10-3, TurnKey at 13-6, and Premier at 14-4 are your favorites.  Premier (Atlanta) and Classic Glass (Dallas) are the only Conference 'A' teams to win a Conference event this season.  The other 'A' teams with a winning record in division are PrimeTime 14-9, WorkSteer 11-9, Seminoles 7-5, L&S Glass 6-4, and Maroadi/SNI 10-9.  Maroadi is a bit of a sleeper as they were allowed a number of big roster moves at the end of the season before they could be evaluated.

The White Softball Quad is the quad in the middle (fences are 325).

The stadium and the Red Quad with a temp fences are also 325 feet if used.

This weekend the A World Tournament will take place in Viera, FL at the Space Coast Complex with 32 teams and 19 from the Nationwide Conference USSSA.  The breakdown down of teams in attendance include 18 A, 13 B teams and 1 Military A team.  The #1 overall seed is WestPoint.  The other teams looking to upset the #1 seed are: Premier/T&W/Easton/BAF;   Sports Reach/Crunchtime/H&H/Grizzy and WorkSteer/Bell's LawnCare.

Predictions:  The first 3 rounds are on Friday night so we should see the following play in The Elite 8: Legion of Boom versus Sportsreach, Baugh Ford versus Premier, Classic Glass versus Worksteer and Turnkey versus Westpoint.  The final 4 undefeated on Saturday morning should be: Sportsreach versus Premier and Worksteer versus Westpoint.  In the loser's bracket, I predict Vivid to win 3 games to make it to the 7th place game before running out of gas against Classic Glass.  Watch out for non-conference team, Legion of Boom with Nightmare sponsor Nolan Fogle to make a run deep into the tournament.
