SmashIt/Precision and Lady SNI are winner’s at the 2020 Conference Championship!

2020 Conference Championships

1st Place – Smash It/Precision/3rd St/Bulldawg (IL-AA)

Smash It/Precision/3rd Street/Bulldawg a 'AA' team that has been coming on strong here at the end of the season rolled through 4 Major teams to win the 2020 USSSA Conference Championship tournament in Columbus, Georgia at the South Commons Softball Complex.  They beat Resmondo 42-38 in the quarter finals, Pure Sports 39-38 in the semi finals, and #1 ranked Dan Smith 36-28 in the winner's final on Saturday night.  On Sunday morning Dan Smith knocked off Resmondo in the last inning 37-33 to make it back to the championship.  It looked like Dan Smith might pull off another "double dip" but SIS/Precision came from behind and tied the game in the bottom of the 7th and won on a walk off homer by David Kessler after a Travis Houseman single in the bottom of the 8th!  Resmondo was 3rd and Pure Sports was 4th.  Maroadis/SNI played their way into a USSSA Major World Series berth and Baugh Ford/Hubs Pub got the final spot although I believe it will be seeded by conference points so we will have to find out who is 19th and 20th for the Major seeding.

Women's Conference Championship

1st Place – Lady SNI/OALabs/DeMarini/Louisville (FL-M)

Only 3 teams attended the women's conference championship tournament in Columbus, Georgia and it was Lady SNI rolling through it undefeated as they knocked off Lady Mojo 24-12 in the winner's bracket finals and Smash It Sports/FAI 23-8 in the championship game.  Lady Mojo had beaten Smash It Sports/FAI in the winner's bracket by one but then lost to Smash It in the loser's bracket 23-10 to finish 3rd.
