2019 Conference Championship Bracket and Team List Link

The 2019 Nationwide Conference USSSA Championships take place this coming weekend, August 30th – September 1st in Viera, Florida at the USSSA headquarters at the Space Coast complex.  The "Red" baseball quad and the stadium will be used for the tournament and the baseball fields have the same dimensions as the stadium 325-365-385-365-325 and are all artificial turf.  All 4 Major teams and the top 6 'AA' teams in the country will play to jockey for the final points and seeding for the USSSA Major World Series which is held September 18-22.  #2 Resmondo still has a slim chance to overtake #1 TDB for the #1 seed at the major.  To do so Resmondo would have to win AND TDB finish 5th or worse according to my calculations.  Conference  'A' teams are playing the 'A' Worlds so they will not be in the Conference Championships but also cannot lose their current seed.  The tournament will use the Dudley Stadium ZN on the baseball fields with a 16 HR limit.

The Conference Championship banquet is scheduled to take place in the concourse at the Stadium on Saturday evening.  Remember that the number of All Conference 1st and 2nd team awards are given out based upon where each team finished in the regular season standings and players that joined their team after May 1st are not eligible.

POINTS SCENARIOS

Resmondo is the favorite to win the event as they have done well on the big fields this year but TDB who won the regular season Conference points standings and Dan Smith who won the first Hall of Fame Dual Major back in April will be their biggest competition.  

The tournament starts Friday at 3 PM eastern time and teams play into the night Friday as many as 3 games.  Then the tournament resumes early Saturday morning with the loser's bracket, and into Saturday afternoon.  The tournament then pauses for the Annual Nationwide Conference Awards banquet and finishes up on Sunday.

USSSALive.com will have stationary cameras on all of the games and I believe the Banquet Awards.

Weekend Weather – Hot and humid with a chance of rain like normal in Florida is the forecast but tropical storm Dorian is also headed towards Florida and winds from the storm could reach Florida on Friday or Saturday.

I will try to update this storm path each day.

They did add some shade to the Red Quad and have the beer/food tent at the stadium behind right field stands
