Team USA quotes on Border Battle:

“It’s such an honor to coach this team, a true blessing, and for me the best part is to watch the rookies put the USA jersey on for the first time. It’s something I wish every American could experience. As for the games, our staff is so excited to finally get this team on the field and show everyone what we have. We fully expect Team Canada and the Futures Team to give us their best shot.” – USA Softball Women’s Slow Pitch National Team Head Coach, Don Cooper.

“I am so excited about this year’s Border Battle as USA Softball has added a new addition to the family. This year fans will get to watch the Women’s Futures Team take on Team USA, Canada, two additional teams and play a coed game with the Men’s Futures Team. These women have been working so hard this summer and have been so excited about this weekend since the team was announced. We have a great mix of talent and I can’t wait to watch them go to battle on the field here in Midland, Michigan at Dow Diamond.” – USA Softball Women’s Futures Slow Pitch National Team Head Coach, Cara Coughenour.

“The selection committee has done an excellent job putting this squad together. We have a very balanced team with sound pitching, defense, hitting, and true stadium power.  We also couldn’t be more excited about the chance to play on beautiful Dow Diamond!  It’s one of the best kept fields in the country and they were a great host to us before.”– USA Softball Men’s Slow Pitch National Team Head Coach, Brett Helmer.

“The Men’s Futures Team has a lot of new faces this year. They are eager and hungry to prove that they belong in the Border Battle. We are deep and talented at all positions and I'm excited to be back in Midland at Dow Diamond Stadium.  The staff and this park have been one of my best experiences as the Futures coach.” – USA Softball Men’s Futures Slow Pitch National Team Head Coach, Rob Humphrey.
