2018 Chattanooga men's/Women's bracket/teams link

Chattanooga, Tennessee is the host of the "Choo" Classic for the 4th year.  The park is one of the most scenic on the tour with 300 foot home run fences that play more like 270 and make for hard hitting-smash mouth games that are ordinarily decided by which team can manage homers better from the first pitch on.  It looks like there are some showers in the forecast for Saturday.  There are only 19 teams in the tournament this year where there were 31 a year ago.  The women's Major has 15 teams including 5 'AA'!

This is the 6th Nationwide Conference USSSA tournament of the year.  So far in 5 events we have had 4 different winners (Resmondo-2+tie, Dan Smith a tie, Baugh Ford, and Pure Sports).  

The men's tournament starts on Friday at 7 PM eastern and I hope to have the livestream up on the 4 main fields Friday and add Field 5 and Field 6 for the womens on Saturday (weather permitting).

Pickups and Injury Update: Steve Whaley is out for Dan Smith with a broken nose and they have picked up middle infielder Josh Moore and former Smash It Manager John Rector.  Bill Pinkham is also out for Racks Astros with a broken arm and they have picked up Curtis Cornett and Carl Blank.  Xtreme picked up Austin Green.  Rebel picked up Branden Blake.  Nightmare picked up Jeff Bloomer.  B&B/Worsham folded.

This weekend the Chattanooga "Choo Choo" Major only has 12 Nationwide Conference USSSA teams in attendance with 2 major, 5 AA and 5 A teams playing.  The Conference USSSA pre-season #1 overall seed Smash It/Thunder/Backman/TDB/Miken is the favorite to win. The other teams looking to upset the favorite are: Dan Smith/Menosse/Steven Smith, TDB/FAI/Klutch/Miken, and Space City Classic Major Champion Baugh Ford/Pure Sports/Kincaid.

Predictions:  The final 4 undefeated should be: Baugh Ford versus TDB and Dan Smith versus Smash It.  I predict Dan Smith to beat Smash It in the undefeated game.  In the loser’s bracket I predict the 5th place games to be Smash It versus Xtreme and Baugh Ford versus Riot Sports.  If all holds true like predicted then Smash It and Baugh Ford would play for 4th place.
