Thank you to CincySoftball.com for use of their router again!

The first ever GSL 'A' World tournament will be played this coming Saturday at the Mid America Ballyard in Cincinnati, Ohio.  The tournament has 11 teams total with 7 of them being 'A' teams and 6 of the teams are from the Conference USSSA.  The favorite will be TG Brand out of Michigan who finished 2nd at the USSSA 'A' Worlds last fall.  They will be challenged by Pauer Sports and Premier out of Ohio, La Famiglia out of Pennsylvania, Sports Reach out of Kentucky, and Vivid/Killbombers out of Texas.  The rest of the field is led by T&W/Miken out of Ohio and a more than capable group of upset minded teams like Fish Head out of Maryland, Floors Unlimited out of Indiana, and more Ohio teams like Titan Trucking and Headlines.

This tournament will be played in one day (weather permitting) and start at 9 AM eastern time Saturday morning with the "if" necessary game scheduled for 9 PM Saturday night.  There is rain in the forecast.  I will have the chat room up here at SoftballCenter.com and the livestream will be running all 4 fields on USSSALive.com!

GSL 'A' is basically using a teams USSSA roster.  Teams were limited to 3 'AA' rated players.  Remember 'A' teams already have 'AA' rated players on them.

GSL pitching is similar to USSSA with faking allowed.  The home run rule is 8 per team plus a DHH (Designated Home Run Hitter) who can hit as many as they can.

They will use the GSL Worth Extreme ball.

Teams were seeded by Class and GSL Points.

Fences are all around 300 feet

TG Brand is the logical favorite getting 26% of the vote but the tournament is wide open.

Every game should be a 60/40 or 50/50 type game.
