The Maryland Major returns to Glen Burnie, Maryland outside of Baltimore. Since it has not been a Dual tournament Nationwide Conference event the last two years the number of Conference teams has gone down but this is still the biggest upper level event in the country this coming weekend. The tournament will feature last weeks Chicago tournament champion SIS/Thunder/Miken/Worth/Louisville a Major team based out of New York who will be the heavy favorite to win. They will be challenged by Texas 'AA' team Killbombers/Demarini and Ohio 'AA' team JBL/Tailgaters with two 'A' teams AllOut/Klutch/Worth out of Texas and Bad Draw/B&B/Broughton out of North Carolina trying to play the upset role. With 6 Conference teams entered the winner would get a coveted 183 points.

There are only 6 Nationwide Conference USSSA teams that will be in attendance at this weekend's "Maryland USSSA Resolute Bank Bash on the Chesapeake" major. There will also be 19 non conference teams. The overwhelming favorite SIS/Thunder/Miken/Worth will only receive 183 points if they win. They will be feeding off the momentum from the win last weekend at the "Windy City" major. Killbombers/Demarini, Allout/Klutch/Worth, JBL/Tailgaters/All In/B&E/Worth, and Bad Draw/B&B/Broughton will most likely battle for second and the measly conference points that will most likely get dropped at the end of the year but should help to get to each team to the 6 tournaments plateau and increase their seeding for the next tournament.
Predictions: It is hard to bet against SIS/Thunder to win their second straight tournament. Killbombers/Demarini should cruise through the upper half of the bracket to face SIS/Thunder in the undefeated game. Bad Draw/B&B/Broughton and Allout/Klutch/Worth meet in the second game. The lucky winner gets a matchup with SIS/Thunder. The loser gets to build chemistry playing local teams in the losers bracket. The sleeper team JBL/Tailgaters had a little bit of success last weekend in Chicago and we will see if they can transfer that success to this weekend.
We will see who will have there full team this weekend. If teams show up half cocked then their could be lots of upsets.
