Championship game between Resmondo and Worth Astros

Resmondo/O.A. Apparel/H.Auto/SP Tank (FL-Major) survived a semi final scare on Saturday night against Xtreme (MN-AA) as they pulled out a 44-43 victory on a walk off hit by Buddy Wolf and rolled through the rest of the 35th Annual Dudley Budweiser Classic with 34-14 and 27-5 run rule victories over 2nd place Worth Astros/K&G/Klutch (IN-AA).  Resmondo wins the prestigious event and scores 212 Nationwide Conference USSSA points to move into 2nd place in the leagues point standings.  Precison/3rd St/GBrand/Easton (IL-AA) finished 3rd and Nightmare/Miken (MO-AA) finished 4th after beating Xtreme/Miken/ASP/Athlon (MN-AA) on their home turf by the run rule Saturday night.

The tournament marks the end of an era for veteran USSSA and Dudley director Warren Bellm who started and ran the tournament for 35 years and built the tournament into one of softballs national treasures.  Thank you Warren for everything you have done to advance the game and bring the top teams to Minnesota for so many years.  Hopefully someone can pick up the ball and continue this great tradition.

I know a photographer is going to have some better pictures of the Resmondo ring ceremony and Warrens special presentation soon.  So I will put those into the report here as soon as I get them.
