Team Combat/Baugh Ford/Softball.com the major team based out of Washington turned up the defense and outscored their 5 opponents 117-33 to sweep the Portland Major and win their 3rd tournament of the season. The tournament was slowed by rain on Saturday and Team Combat knocked off Nationwide Conference USSSA 'B' team Newbreed/All American Athletics/Demarini 13-11 in the winner's bracket finals and 22-7 in the championship game to win it. AZM/Easton was a surprise 3rd place finisher and Doerflinger/Goodfellas/Premier a non-conference 'C' team was 4th.
