2014 Toys for Tots (Palm Springs) tournament report!
2014 United States Marine Corps Reserve
"Toys 4 Tots"
Palm Springs, California
December 12-14
California's worst storm in 6 years hit just before the tournament. My E team for back home all buddies were 9-2 and fought through losers bracket after losing first game on Friday to place 3rd. MC Premier/Valley Billiards
Tony Verdugo's team PMG Companies/Elite and Fence Brokers Inc/Buzini/Worth made the finals through the single elimination bracket on Sunday. FBI was just about to start the bottom half of an inning when the game was called a draw due to "flights" for Tonys guys. FBI was just about to throttle them. In the semi finals it was PMG and All American Athletics/Newbreed and FBI and 4 The Fallen/ Miken/ EVO 9X.
Lots of the E teams battled the true upper teams which brings the question how do you get those teams to play up? I heard a few veteran players say you could hand pick from the talent out here a few very good conference teams. Sad to see guys who could actually represent California on a national level but would rather play down. Great weather after Friday nights storm.

Open Division Bracket on Sunday
Actually I guess FBI and PMG are co-champs, not sure, depends who you ask.
But all for a good cause, regardless!
Pictures I grabbed off of Facebook.
