They play softball in Alaska?

A conference teams wins a church tournament in Roanoke VA??? Nice touch!

Different guys.
They might be new this year but they played as Westlake Church in The Interstate Church of God softball tournament Labor Day weekend! Must be a huge church to have guys from Alaska and all over to fly in for Sunday Service!!
With today’s technologies a church’s ministry can reach far beyond their own community; and we don’t have to fly them in. We can fly the message to them. The men and their families in Alaska are very dear to me and I am honored to minister to them and play softball with them. Yes, some of these guys do play for Westlake Church, but not all of them. This is a new team that is why it is called Body Renew instead of Westlake. God is good!
Had the pleasure of playing against these guys in the top flight playoffs in that tournament. Great group of guys and a CLASS ACT team. Good Luck guys! Go get em Rev!
Good to hear from you. How is your team and ministry going. As you know it not JUST about softball it’s about Kingdom work. We want to play this game with integrity and shine for his glory on and off the field. Our hope is that we can be a witness of God’s love and grace!
@17 Westlake is a pretty big church! You should come out sometime. I’m on this team and the westlake team and I’m currently in Jacksonville NC! This time next year ill be living in KBay, Hawaii and ill still be from Westlake, crazy how that works huh!
I guess since you are tax exempt you have 40 K to drop on the Conf?

Mike, it’s great to hear that you minister as well as play the game. You’re right; there is no better way to play than to glorify our Creator and all the wonderful blessings we receive! I was wondering, though, according to the USSSA website, the Church Major World is in Cary, NC. Do you know if it has been moved to Rock Hill? I run a team myself and we are very interested in that tournament. God Bless.
