The annual Corky's Early Bird kicks off in Owatonna, Minnesota this Friday night May 2nd. The open division is a part of the ASA Super Series! The heavy favorite is Long Haul/H. Auto/Easton aka Laservision. They won the first ASA Super in Oklahoma a couple of weeks ago. They will be challenged by Rip City/Demarini, Linedrive, Sonnys, T's 13/Demarini, Heartland, and Precision. I am sure there are other teams with a shot at the final 4 but I was unable to find roster information.
The SoftballCenter.com chat room/online radio station will be open throughout the event for updates. I will also Livestream some of the games starting Saturday through the end of the tournament on the main field.
I am picking Long Haul to win, Rip City/Demarini second, Sonnys 3rd, and Linedrive 4th.
The main field looks to be about 300 foot, I believe they are using Conference HR rules, and some of the other fields are a little bit shorter.
The weather looks a bit chilly so the livestream will be up weather permitting.
