#1 Laservision/Desert Falls/Boombah/Easton (NY)-M
LF-Brian Rainwater
CF-Brian Wegman
RF-Scott Kirby
3B-Sam Lopez
SS-Chad Durick
MI-Bryson Baker
2B-Kevin Kennington
1B-Kyle Moyer
P-Geno Buck
C-Brett Helmer
EH-Kevin Filby
C/OF-Jason Kendrick
Utility-Travis Clark
Utility-Mike Umscheid
Utility-Ryan Theide
P/Coach Billy Messina
Dan Fruwirth-Manager
Pete Campbell-Coach
Bill Tassinari-Coach
Laservision returns the majority of their 2012 Major World Series title winning team. They lose center fielder Rick Baker, and infielder Dal Beggs. Laservision picks up veteran shortstop Chad Durick, 1st baseman Kyle Moyer, and extra hitter extraordinaire Kevin Filby, all of whom had incredible years at the plate. Moyer and Filby also add two more left handed power hitters to the lineup for the World Series where lefties can pile up the home runs at the ESPN Wide World of Sports short porch in right field.
Outlook: Laservision is the defending champions and will be in the running for the World Series, however they did not address their trouble areas from 2012 when they won just two tournaments all season. They did not add pitching or defense and with the loss of Rick Baker in center field they will move Brian Wegman to CF and Scott Kirby into RF. The outfield defense will be tested early and often and their pitching will be "by committee" with Geno Buck as the starter. Laservision will try to outslug their competition again this year. They will be managed again by Dan Fruwirth who will have his hands full with the difficult balance between offense and defense that this roster presents.
#2 Resmondo/Worth (FL)-M
SS Don Dedonatis Jr
P Andy Purcell
1B Howie Krause
2B Greg Connell
OF Jeremy Isenhower
C BJ Fulk
3B Jimmy Salas
MI Bubba Mack
OF Bobby Hughes
P LC Watson
OF Jeremy Yates
OF Nick Santana
IF Dennis Rulli
Manager – John Rector
Manager – Frank Webb
Sponsor – Travis Resmondo
Resmondo won 7 tournaments in 2012 including one of the Hall of Fame Classic Dual events, the prestigious Dudley, and the Smoky Mountain Classic, but lost a game early in the World Series and was unable to come back through the loser's bracket and double dip Laservision in the championship. For 2013 they lose leadoff hitter Jeff Hall who had other commitments, and they also lose outfielders Tim Howard and Scott Striebel. They replace them with speedy young outfielder Nick Santana from Demarini/Dirty and another young lefty outfielder Jeremy Yates from Taylormade. They also recently added veteran infielder Dennis Rulli who won the 2012 Conference USSSA batting title.
Outlook: Resmondo will continue their winning ways as they get younger and faster again in 2013. They should accumulate the most Conference points during the season and have the #1 seed for the USSSA Major World Series come September. With a healthy SS Don Dedonatis Jr, pitcher Andy Purcell, and 1st baseman Howie Krause who all had injuries in 2012, they will have the veteran leadership needed to keep the team going in the right direction both on the 300 foot fields and the bigger baseball fields. Look for outfielder Jeremy Isenhower to pick up the slack for the loss of Jeff Hall, and for 3B Jimmy Salas who was Conference Co-MVP last year and MI Bubba Mack to continue to improve even more (if that is possible). Resmondo will again be managed by John Rector and Frank Webb who have won more Conference tournaments than any other group.
#3 Shoppe/TYJA/Louisville Slugger (TN)-M
C Tim Cocco
P Andy Vitcak
1B Eric Thompson
SS Chente Granados
IF Jonathan Lenz
3B Lee Powers
OF Robert Blackburn
OF Kyle Cowart
OF Neil Haglund
OF David Kessler
P Shane Spicer
2B Brett McCollum
MI Victor Cordova
IF Casey Rogowski
UT Paul Johnston
Larry Quartuccio – Manager
Tony Quartuccio – Assistant Manager
Greg Blackburn – Sponsor
MARK WEBER / TYJA – Sponsor
LOUISVILLE SLUGGER – Dennis Turner – Sponsor
Shoppe loses MI Tony Mack, pitcher Dirty Sanchez, and outfielders Cory Boothe and Steve Allen. They add some big time power hitters in Brett McCollum and Casey Rogowski who will play infield, and TYJA outfielders Neil Haglund and David Kessler. They also add Team 454 pitcher Andy Vitcak and veteran TYJA infielder Victor Cordova. Shoppe steps up to the Major division this year.
Outlook: Shoppe comes off a year where they made it to Sunday almost every weekend they played but never did win a tournament? This year they add power and should be more successful hitting the 12-16 homer's per game that the Major division is allowed rather than the 8 homer's that the 'A' division gets. The return of a healthy Robert Blackburn, one of the top young hitters Lee Powers, and Conference Offensive MVP Tim Cocco make this team a high powered team best suited for the Major division. Look for their defense to be solid with young shortstop Chente Granados and veteran center fielder Kyle "flea" Cowart roaming around. This team will have its opportunities to close out and win a tournament or two against Resmondo and Laservision. Shoppe is managed by Larry Quartuccio and his son Tony Quartuccio who are a steady and knowledgeable team with a lot of top level experience.
#4 Team Combat/Derby Boys/LBG (WA)-M
Jeff Wallace
Jeff McGavin
Jeff Graus
Tim Howard
Scott Brown
John McCraw
Sid Stephany
Frank Yeilding
Chad Munger
Joey Formosa
Franck Henry
Rick Baker
Landon Helm
Brandon Perry
Bobby Nifong
Hector Pagan
Don Cooper
Team Combat struggled for most of 2012 and didn't fare much better in the post season. This year Combat returns home CF Rick Baker from Laservision. They also pick up IF/OF Tim Howard from Resmondo, big IF Joey Formosa and pitcher Chad Munger from Nordkap, and add outfielder Sid Stephany from TYJA/Suncoast.
Outlook: They added a top pitcher, and have some more veteran leadership. One interesting dynamic is the addition of manager Jeff Wallace, the longtime Resmondo team leader who carried a big stick in this game for most of 2 decades. We'll see how Jeff transitions to a managerial role after knee and shoulder injuries finally reduced his playing career. The defense will have some question marks.
#5 Nordkap / Suncoast Reebok (MN)-A
Jason Baxter 1B/C
Cory Boothe RF
Jason Branch LF
Matt Crawford IF
Anthony Dress IF
Chris Greinert C/1B
Matt Pesso MF
Luis Reyna SS
Dustin Roberts C/RF
TJ Thompson P
Curtiss "Wolf" Wilson P
Scott Zaciewski 3B
Brian Zirkle CF
Johnny Gallegos Utility
Nordkap – Josh Olson
Nordkap – Rick Olson
Nordkap – Bob Olson
Reebok – Lee Trotter
Nordkap/Suncoast Reebok is a merger between the Nordkap and Suncoast Reebok sponsors who both had top 6 teams from 2012. The players making up this roster are from all over the Major and 'A' divisions. Nordkap will be led by one of the best infield defenses in the game in 3B Scott Zaciewski, SS Luis Reyna, MI Matt "the Magician" Pesso, and 2B Anthony Dress. Pitching will be the tag team duo of Curtiss Wilson and TJ Thompson – two of the more entertaining and hardworking pitchers in the nation. The outfield will be led by the basket catching of CF Brian Zirkle, the never stopping engine of LF Jason Branch, and the power of Cory Boothe. Supplying even more power will be Long Haul tour power hitters Jason Baxter and Dustin Roberts, and one of the top hitters from 2012 in big Chris Greinert who comes over from Sonny's.
Outlook: This team is stacked, young, fast, and powerful. They have a defense capable of playing toe to toe with the major teams and should have success on the stadium fields as well as the 300's. Look for Nordkap to be in the top 6 all year and compete for weekend tournament championships, 'A' Worlds, and make a long shot run at the Major. Nordkap will be managed by the Olson's and Lee Trotter who will have their hands full with the big personalities on this team.
#6 Demarini/Dirty/Xtreme Athletics (FL)-A
Adam Rockoff
Brandon Jonas
Kevin Lucas
Chris Larsen
Donovan Pokraka
Andrew Collins
Dan Kirkwood
Joe Gordon
Michael Cirillo
Shawn Jones
Orlando Castillo
Terry Baggs
Chris Wilson
Dale Brungardt
George Quinones – Manager
Mike West – GM
Karen West – Stats
Demarini/Dirty shocked the softball world in 2012, coming out of nowhere to finish 3rd in the final computer rankings. They lost center fielder Nick Santana to Resmondo and shortstop Steven Lloyd has decided not to play in 2013. Dirty did pick up Nordkap outfielder Donovan Pokraka, R&M infielder Joe Gordon and SS Kevin Lucas, and SBS 3B Dale Brungardt. Add this to the stadium hitting of Adam Rockoff and 2011 Long Haul Bomber champ Chris Larsen and you have a great team that can compete for weekend championships. The defense will be led by a tandem of pitchers Brandon Jonas from Taylormade and Shawn Jones. Dirty is also looking for middle infielder Orlando Castillo to have a breakout season! They also picked up Dan Kirkwood to replace Santana in center field.
Outlook: Demarini/Dirty is young, and plays smash mouth softball. They don't care who the opponent is and feed off the energy of outfielder Andrew Collins and second baseman Adam Rockoff who back up their flash with long bombs and hustle. Demarini is talented and full of players looking to prove themselves again, a dangerous combination. Dirty is managed by sponsor Mike West and George Quinones whose strengths are roster creation and game management.
#7 GTL/Doerflinger/R&M Metals/Easton (WA)-A
Brandon Dillon
Rusty Bumgardner
Brendt Newbill
Kyle Pearson
Mike Rogers
Vince Bisbee
Justin Mucciarelli
Richard Salazar
Brad Reckart
Sean McDonald
JD Genter
Kevin Bazat
Eric Johnson
Branden Blake
Rob Humphrey – Manager
Jose Sanchez – Manager
Ric Doerflinger – Stats/Sponsor
Charles Garcia – GTL – Sponsor
Roger & Deb Tompkins – R&M Metals – Sponsor
Brett Helmer – Easton Sports – Sponsor
GTL returns as a sponsor on the Major circuit and merge with Ric Doerflinger and the defending 'A' Champion R&M Metals. They bring back All Star CF Brandon Dillon, pitcher Brendt Newbill, and 2B Richard Salazar from R&M. They mix them with players from all over the 'A' and Major ranks like veteran infielder Sean McDonald and slugger Vince Bisbee from Resmondo, Rusty Bumgardner and Kevin Bazat from Team 454, and JD Genter from Nordkap. They will also give some young outfielders a shot like the talented Kyle Pearson from Baugh Ford and Mike Rogers the 2011 'B' World MVP from Blitz. GTL will be managed by Jose Sanchez and Rob Humphrey who have combined to win 3 of the last 4 'A' Worlds. Recently they just added up and coming shortstop Branden Blake from the Westshore Pizza team that just folded.
Outlook: GTL has the experience and the talent to win regular season tournaments and 'A' Worlds. They do have some older players and players in different transition periods in their careers so everything would have to come together and some young players will have to improve. Look for a slow start to the season and some injuries that will need to be overcome. This team has two top quality managers. Who makes the final decisions? And who manages the behind the scenes "politics" of a team like this? That will have to be sorted out to get the chemistry where it needs to be to win big games.
#8 Line Drive Sportz/Miken (MI)-A
C Mark Holstein
MI Joel Ramos
SS Steve Whaley
2B Jason Ferguson
3B Matt Rear
LF Cory Large
CF Ryan Parfitt
RF Sal Formosa
OF Dan Hall
P Billy Barrett
C Mike Dill
1B Kyle Yerkes
OF Jared Krasselt
P Faron Miller
Donny Sikora – Coach
Bill Reardon – Coach
Andrew Wojcik – Coach
Sponsor – David Lanzon
Manager – Fred Budnarowski
Line Drive moves up to 'A' after finishing 3rd in the USSSA 'A' Worlds last year as a 'B' team. They also won the 'A' bracket of the Conference Championships. They return the core of their 2012 team in up and coming stars OF Cory Large and 3B Matt Rear. Veteran infielder Jason Ferguson and the talented pitcher Billy Barrett also return. Manager Fred Budnarowski also picked up slugger Mark Holstein formerly with EWS, professional hitter Mike Dill, and all around outfielder Sal Formosa from Combat, and also has some depth with backup pitcher Faron Miller and conference newbie outfielder Jared Krasselt.
Outlook: The sky is the limit for Linedrive. They have defense with specialist Joel Ramos and 'A' World defensive MVP Steve Whaley. They have youth and energy and some of the top up and coming talent. This could be the surprise team of 2013 on the smaller 300 foot fields. Line Drive also added veteran Kyle Yerkes who has recently won both the 'A' and 'B' Worlds.
#9 Sonnys (WY)-A
Kevin Ballard
Manny Liriano
Brian Faria
Aaron Martinez
Sam Christensen
Bryce Oliviera
Jeremy Davis
Westy Guill
Lee Bowles
Alexis Ramirez
Danny Lopez
Carl Blank
Charles Cunningham
Tyson Steele
Manager/Sponsor – Sonny Pilcher
Sonny's is the defending ASA 'A' Champions and they finished in the top 10 in the SoftballCenter.com computer rankings for the second consecutive year. They lose slugger Chris Greinert to Nordkap and SS Johnathan Lenz won't be back, but they return most of the rest of their 2012 squad. They picked up West Coast Doerflinger IF Aaron Martinez to play SS and IF Tyson Steele from Nordkap to supply some of the offense lost when Greinert left. Sonny's is managed and sponsored by Sonny Pilcher who may be a little underrated as a manager after his ASA 'A' World title when they beat Laservision twice and double dipped Team Cincinnati for the championship!
Outlook: Sonny's is young and fast. They are capable of playing top rate defense and have a great pitching combo of Danny Lopez and lefty Carl Blank. If they can get off to a good start at the tournaments in Las Vegas and the Hall of Fame Classic, Sonny's should be solidly in the top 10 and capable of a top 5 and 'A' World run.
#10 Taylormade/Mizuno (VA)-A
UT Brian Floyd
CF Brian Logan
P Kevin Johnson
IF/OF Scotty Langford
IF Billy Moran
IF Chris Kirian
LF Daren Hunter
UT Chyenne Brooks
UT Chris Calcutt
OF John Zorich
IF Nick Utley
UT Rick Leith
IF/P Stacy Bolton
IF/OF Jackie Korn Jr
IF Blake King
Manager Dean Stevens
Sponsor Travis Taylor
Taylormade is considered the "low budget" 'A' team of Conference USSSA, yet every year they reload with young talent and play well towards the end of the season. In 2008 they were the first 'B' team to make it to the final 4 at the Major World Series. In 2011 they again made it to Sunday at the World Series as they lost their first game on Wednesday and ran through the loser's bracket to make it to the championship. Then last year after a subpar regular season, Taylormade finished second at the USSSA 'A' Worlds which was quite unexpected. Taylormade is still working on their 2013 roster but they will return a core of veteran hitters like player/sponsor Brian Floyd and infielder Chris Kirian. Some of their youth will return with CF Brian Logan who may have the most range of any outfielder in the game, and middle infielder Billy Moran who came on strong with the bat late in the season. They also add veteran pitcher Kevin Johnson to replace the departed Brandon Jonas, and they picked up infielder Scotty Langford from Westshore Pizza.
Outlook: Taylormade may get off to a slow start again as their team loses young and talented players to the bigger teams again this year. But chemistry and the "Taylormade way" seem to pay off at the end of every season so never count "TMade" out and they should make the World Series yet again.
#11 "4 The Fallen" / Miken (AZ)-A
Eliseo Aguilar
Pilar Amaya
Dexter Avery
Johnny Bailey
Dan Bean
Denny Crine
Frank Deaver
Jermaine Flythe
Jaime Fregozo
David Lewis
Alex Puskarich
Michael Rasso
Nick Sansone
Kenneth Tracy
Ed Vega
Greg Zayas
Brett Melton
Greg Neal
Brandon Gooding
"4 The Fallen" returns to the Conference after a rough 2012 season where they struggled to earn quality wins. This year's team adds veteran pitcher Dan Bean from Blitz, OF Eliseo Aguilar and C Johnny Bailey from Doerflinger, and Long Haul Bomber Ed Vega to a core of players from last year. The team represents many of the branches of our military and many of the players come from a military background. You can support the team at 4thefallen.org by donating money to the charity or purchasing game jerseys, tshirts, and Miken bats from the team.
Outlook: The team was inconsistent in 2012 on both sides of the ball and this year will have to find the right mix offensively and "set up" their big home run hitters Denny Crine and Ed Vega. Defensively they will look for a boost from pitcher Dan Bean and the young left side of their infield 3B Alex Puskarich and SS Frank Deaver. One player to watch is 2nd year middle man Pilar Amaya who has some quality baseball experience. Fallen could contend for some of the west coast Conference events and will try to slip into the World Series. They are managed by Jaime Fregozo and normally perform a flag ceremony at each event to honor Fallen comrades.
#12 Albicocco/The Scene/Easton (NY)-A
STEVE ALLEN
MICHAEL BALLARD
ERIC BEATTIE
DAL BEGGS
MICHAEL FANIGLULA
MATHEW KING
ROBERT KNOBLAUCH
ANTROINE MACK
CHRISTOPHER MOON
JOSHUA RILEY
JOHN ROBINSON
DANIEL SANCHEZ
JAMES SHOOPMAN
TANNER TAPLEY
SPONSOR/COACH/MANAGER
ANTONIO ALBICOCCO
SPONSOR/EASTON BRETT HELMER
The Scene is another team still finalizing their roster and schedule. They will play class 'A' led by the return to softball of Matt King who last played with Jean Shoppe, pitcher Dan Sanchez who is one of the best pitchers in the game, and defensive wizard Tony Mack. John Robinson is the only returning Scene player from 2012 and they have new talent like Steve Allen and Adam Shoopman in the outfield, and the underrated Chris Moon in the infield. Another slugger, catcher Sean Ballard from the old ABS team will return to the Conference after a couple of years playing with 'C' power KY Steel Erectors. The Scene will start the season by filling out their roster with some young unknown players in some key positions that played with the Jolt team out of Florida last season.
Outlook: This group should get off to a slow start as they sort out defensive and lineup positions. For any one game at any one tournament however they are good enough to beat anyone and I am sure have aspirations to compete for an 'A' title and qualify for the Major World Series. The team could use a manager like Jeff Whitman or Tim Taylor.

Red's had a storybook season in 2012 as they joined the Conference USSSA late and played almost every weekend somewhere. It soon became obvious that they were a team to be reckoned with as they upset Resmondo in Chicago, knocked off Nordkap in Cincinnati, and finished in an amazing 3rd place when they had to in Detroit to score enough points to get into the Major World Series! SS Travis Dale, power hitter Chad Mullins, and CF Wally Maybrier burst onto the national scene as Red's upset Nordkap at the World Series when they scored 14 runs in the 7th inning to come from behind and win 23-22.
Outlook: Red's returns almost their entire team and won't be "sneaking" up on anyone in 2013. Red's is led by their gritty shortstop and leadoff man Travis Dale whose knack for extra base hits and timely homers has pushed his stock up and off the charts. The rest of the team follows his lead and this team never gives up and always plays 7 innings. Red's is managed by softball veteran Red Moore who got his nickname as a ball boy for the Cincinnati Reds many years ago and Herb Price who has been sponsoring teams for 40 years. Reds Astros picked up outfielder Cody Gilbert and infielder Ricky Potter from the disbanded Columbus Pipe team to add some depth for their 2013 'B' World title run.

Buzini was just one inning away from forcing an "if" game at the USSSA 'B' Worlds in 2012 and they return with most of their roster intact. They add SBS/Combat infielder Shannon Smith who is one of the big new home run hitters in the game. They also add FBI infielder Billy Maggard. These moves should help extend an already solid lineup lead by "professional hitter" Kyle Wilks and longtime Major veteran Kelly Hartman, and center fielder Justin Stuart. Buzini's defense will be anchored by shortstop Jake Mays, former college world series infielder Jason Williams, and Chris Smith. Pitching will anchored by veteran work horse Donald "Buck" Plaisance.
Outlook: Buzini should be on a short list of top 'B' World title contenders and look for them to compete for the win at the Space City Classic early in the Conference season. They finished 2nd to Resmondo there a year ago. Buzini should also score enough points to slip into the lower half of the Major World Series and they play an entertaining brand of softball with some defensive specialists mixed in with a veteran offensive team and they have some role players sprinkled throughout. Buzini is managed and sponsored by a group of true softball die hards.

Xtreme dipped their toe into the Conference waters in 2012 finding some success out in the Seattle Dual and the USSSA 'B' World. They also won the ASA 'B' Nationals last year. They return the core of that team and add sluggers Dustin Palm and R&M star Keith Anderson as well as "mister hustle" Seth Brown. They also picked up former Combat infielder Kyle Decker. Xtreme/Combat is managed by veteran Minnesota softballer Pat O'Connell.
Outlook: Xtreme is one of those 'B' teams that plays the team in front of them without fear and competes hard for 7 innings. Xtreme will pull off some big upsets in 2013 and have the ability to position themselves as a top 5 'B' team come September. I'm not sure they are a baseball field team, so expect a slow start…maybe.

Baugh Ford returns to Conference play as they pick up free agents from all over the southeast like D2E 'B' champions – middle infielder Shaun Bridger, pitcher Eric Byrum, and infielder Sean Greer. They also get 3B Dave Moore from Demarini/Dirty, super utility man Dave Garcia from Westshore, journeyman outfielder Matt Bunn, "Mr. Dirty" Robert Hendren and two big lefty free agent bats in Clay Smitherman from Texas, and Bryan Goins from Indiana. They add these players to returning Baugh players Blankenship, Autry, Urban, and player/sponsor Tommie Baugh. They will be managed by Matt Hunt. Baugh made a nice late off season pick up of former Combat center fielder Davis Bilardello.
Outlook: An interesting mix with a "Logo Express" flavor. This team will be as good in the 'B' division as they want to be. There are a lot of players coming from a lot of different directions on this team and if they can sort it out as far as positions and the lineup and everyone is happy accepting whatever role they get, then they can compete for a top 16 spot and a 'B' World title.

The 2012 Headhunters 'B' team which had some late season success merges with a top 'C' team OI Livingston. Headhunters brings the Scott brothers for power, as well as Lee Payne the center fielder from the Down2EarthSports 'B' World champs. They will also have the hardnosed Chad Folsom at shortstop, hard hitting Larkin Grant in the outfield, and Chad Loudon at pitcher to lead the team. The rest of the players are from OI Livingston and will have to quickly adapt to the speed and pitching at the Conference level in order to contribute to a successful team.
Outlook: The Headhunters team from a year ago was better suited to free swinging situations as they showed at the Smoky Mountain Classic last year when they upset Nordkap/Desert Falls on the main field. This year this team will have to have the new conference players make adjustments quickly to avoid some rough weekends but could be a dark horse at 'A' and 'B' Worlds at the end of the season. Top 16 in Conference points would be an impressive finish for this team. How is that for some bulletin board motivation?

Famous won the Toys 4 Tots back in December and I'm not going to lie. That made an impression on me. Team chemistry is good on this team and they never give up. They have some hard nosed players like Clif Williamson and Sean Boldt. They have pitching with PJ Garcia and some young talent getting a taste of the big time. They will have a hard time making the world series with their west coast schedule but can still rank well with some Sunday finishes.

Swats returns with a mix of West Coast players led by Julio Salazar, Jason Kreider, and outfielder Nick Robertson. They have pitching from Mark Urbain and Daxton Mamuyac. A good mix, with a 'B' World shot. I will take some heat putting this team behind Famous. But lets see how the chemistry shakes out here with this squad.
#20 Precision/Hang Rite (IL)-B
Precision has not turned in a roster so I had to put them at #21. They could very well be higher, knowing the talent that could be assembled on this team. I know former EWS manager Todd Ankney is involved and there are rumors of former Nordkap utility man Mike Rhines being on the team. Precision has always been a top 'B'.

The Plumbers and Pipefitters come off of a 2012 season that had them making some long runs through the loser's bracket, pulling off some nice upsets, but coming up short at the USSSA 'B' Worlds. They did win the NSA 'B' North and picked up some valuable Conference experience. P&P adds veteran Brian Pucketts bat to the offense, and third baseman Jake Stambazze from Red's Astros as well as lightning quick infielder Ryan Lyster to the team. Another year should see pitcher Todd Fairbanks, and players like Josh Onstott, Dave Andrus, and John Zocco on the cusp of pushing their games to the next level. We also watched Archie Pemberton make his offensive debut at the GSL Open in Columbus last weekend. He should be a good one along with left fielder Brandon Bongard.
Outlook: Managers Josh Onstott and Tracey Flack will try to piece together a run for the top 16 and a 'B' World title. This team may still be one more year away but could win at a smaller Conference tournament like the Toledo major or one of the Affiliate events and are too good to be overlooked by any of the 'A' teams.

Fence Brokers also known as "FBI" return to the conference with some of their top players steady Zach Keene, power hitter Tim Bowser, SS Pat Burton, and P Jason Bridges, mixed with half of the players from Hubs Pub. Chris Walkers team also picked up veteran R&M outfielder Reggie Schulte.
Outlook: A more aggressive schedule this year will give them the opportunity to qualify for the Major World Series, but this team may be better off concentrating on winning smaller events like the Space City Classic in Houston, the Busch Classic in their hometown of Little Rock, and gaining a top seed for the 'B' Worlds. Look for a breakout season from infielder Kenny Leach, and the return of a more dominant Reggie Schulte.

3rd Street joins the Conference and picks up some of the Blitz/Watanabe players like OF Richie Jones, SS Nick Masur, and power hitter Brad Tabler after Blitz decided not to have a team. 3rd Street and Pure Romance will vie to be the top team in Cincinnati and Ohio with Blitz unfortunately gone. 3rd Street also picked up veteran pitcher Bobby Noeth and his son, as well as PRI slugger Tommy Stevens.
Outlook: This team has a nice mix of defense and offense and the core of this team was part of Team Cincinnati that finished a surprise 2nd at the ASA 'A' Nationals back in October of 2012. 3rd Street is managed and put together by Robert Mahaffey and have their sights set on a 'B' World title. Look for them to take a few steps forward and a few back during the 2013 season and put the final pieces in place for a big 2014!

Pure Romance steps up to the 'B' division this year and add some serious firepower with ex-Blitz veterans 1B Jimmy Carter, C Jon Jamison, and IF Terry Rosenbalm. They also add the versatile Steve Edwards from Columbus Pipe to a solid core of Cincinnati talent.
Outlook: This should be a growing year for PRI but old-school manager Mike Foulkes should get the most out of a talented team. Look for PRI to finish outside of the top 20 but lay a foundation for a 'B' World title run in 2014.

The latest edition of Primetime sees the return of Chivas "Chevy" Clark who anchored the 'B' World champion D2E lineup last year. Clark's success will need to rub off on his old teammates at Primetime if they are to have the 2013 season that they are hoping for. Primetime is led by middle infielder Earl Bryant, pitcher Dennis Davison, infielder Lee Daniels, and outfielder Keyma Wright and are managed by Tony Goodson.
Outlook: Goodson will have to pull the right strings and get this team playing like they are capable of. They always play well in Georgia and should have some success there with a second Conference event on the schedule. Look for Primetime to try to slip into the top 16 late in the season, but each player on this team will have to step up just a little bit on both sides of the ball to push this team to the next level.

DEI/S&S is the old Magic team with some new faces. Pitcher/Sponsor/Manager John Hickey and manager Scott Sunderland will look for young players like middle infielder Aaron Guido, center fielder Matt Tindell, and left handed slugger Chris Carr to help this team turn the corner and compete on Sunday at the USSSA 'B' Worlds.
Outlook: DEI dominated the Northeast USSSA tournaments in 2012 and won the Connecticut Major. They also won the 'B' division of the Conference Championships. Now it is time to compete with and beat a few 'A' teams, finish off all 'C' and lower opponents, and win 60-70% of their games against fellow 'B' teams. A successful season here would be a top 16 position in Conference points and a Sunday final 4 at the 'B' Worlds.

Outlook: B&B will take their lumps again in 2013 and will try to be another one of those solid 'B' teams that positions themselves to take the next step in 2014.

Team Adiktiv moves up to the 'B' division for 2012 and add OF Jason Gilfillan from the D2E 'B' Champs, military all-stars Tommie Melton and Josh Wiggs, and some other young players.
Outlook: Adiktiv will suffer through some growing pains and will struggle against top 12 type teams. They will need to break through and upset someone big, early on in the season to push their way into the top 20. Adiktiv will be managed by longtime softball vet Donnie Munford.

They are led by former SBS outfielder Prentiss Knight, and defensive minded middle infielder Jon Gibbens. The rest of the team is a mix of ex 'D' World Champs ABRA and some guys from Custom Truck among others. A nice young team with some exciting players.

I do not have a roster for the South Texas Posse and the online roster listed above includes some big names like Perry Hensley, Richard Salazar, Mark Dennis, and Jonathan Lenz so I think this was a roster from a pickup tournament? STP will have a tough road but will get a chance early in the season to see what they are made of in Houston and Euless. If Will Oneal is on this team, he is a fun one to see play.

#47 Wheelhouse (WI)
Wheelhouse has struggled for quality wins in the Conference for a number of years, but it isn't for a lack of dedication. Wheelhouse should play the affiliate Conference tournament schedule and get some wins under their belt. I have not received their roster yet, so they can only get better in the rankings!
Best non-conference teams that I know of so far:
