Long Haul/JJ's/Doerflinger/Easton defeated the Armed Forces All Stars 29-18 on Saturday night in the winner's bracket final and O&S Cattle 41-29 to go 4-0 and win the ASA 'A' National Championship.  Long Haul was led by Brian Wegman who was named MVP and went 7-7 with 3 homer's and 8 RBI in the final game.  For the weekend Brian was 18-20 with 8 homers, 19 RBI, and 19 runs scored.  O&S Cattle who finished 2nd fought through the losers bracket all weekend long after being upset by the Armed Forces 23-18 in their opening game on Friday night.  O&S won 5 straight games including 1 run wins over Reds Astros and Rip City.  Armed Forces who finished 3rd won their first 3 games with wins over Buzini, O&S Cattle, and Tharaldson before dropping two straight to Long Haul and O&S.  Some of the stats from the tournament are posted below.

The video stream was of a very high quality so watching the archived games is worth a look as it is easy to fast forward and or replay parts of the games.

  1. 4 The Fallen says:

    Didn’t 4 The Fallen go 2-2?

  2. Mullins Question says:

How does ASA have Chad Mullins listed as a B player? Isn’t he at least on the Major watch list with USSSA?

  3. Dave says:

Looks like Dillon got screwed there not making the 1st team… Wow

    • Clueless says:

How did they give Bazat utility and not Dillon? He outdid him in every category offensively….and from what I seen he played a great outfield

  4. Q22 says:

Total BS on the selections. Only one Armed Forces player in the 1st team and one in the 2nd team for a team that finish 3rd. Not fair. It looks like a popularity contest.

  5. Q22 says:

My point exactly. Geno hit .455 for the weekend and made 2nd team all tourney. Not hating on Geno. I am a fan. A couple of the Armed Forces guy got screwed.

  6. Gas50 says:

The stats were screwed up for a lot if guys… Including Armed a Forces guys who hit over .700 but it doesn’t show. Seems a little strange that four guys have the exact same batting average with the exact same hits/abs.
