Shoppe finishes 2nd with their only losses being to Demarini/Dirty. The newly bumped to 'B' – Westshore Pizza/TPS finishes 3rd after losing their opener to Primetime 9-7. Westshore then rattled off 5 straight wins including sending home 4 Conference teams in a row which included D2E and Taylormade. Taylormade was 4th and Team 454 and Primetime tied for 5th.
All 8 of the second round games were filled with Conference teams as the locals shut down quickly in the heat.

So they have only been run ruled twice. Both by Laservision and its hard to call the Chicago game a run rule when they were leading going into the inning. To be honest maybe the rule should be changed. If you are leading going into an inning how can you not get a chance to bat again? In no way did they feel like they weren't still alive in that game.
Any way you look at it, Demarini has come on strong, 18-3 in their last 21 games. They are winning games in the heat, the nighttime slugfests, and competing with the Major teams when they get a chance. I would still love to see that Demarini/Dirty vs Resmondo game which has eluded us all year…
